Were back with BASIUS 2, Basius 1 was pretty good, and very well received! We have spent the year since inventing that by developing basius & making it about 255% bigger (in terms of what texture you get) by making it larger and double sided!

Its certainly not very professional, but I still say Darklands KS1 was the most confusing KS page ever.
Sounds interesting. I'm seeing some positive reviews.
I think some of the pieces are TOO varied for my taste and would find it hard to get enough variety on bases that also looks like other bases to create both a unified army and having differences between models.

I play deadzone and I am liking the look of the Deadzone pad. Seeing as I am swapping out the restic orks for GW ones the pad will be perfect for my bases.
@ Joe - we are doing INDUSTRIAL instead - its bigger and better and gives more options than Sulacco did - but its made using the same floor designs.
@ RiTides - PLAGUELANDS reverse side is a great big SWAMP!! with 2 graves, a pontoon, creatures and lots of other goodness - i mean badness!
@ Mooks - CHEERS! Mantic are awesome arent they!!! and so is their stuff!!
@ willb - yep - comic sans is an ace font! and reminds me of the simpsons!!

Is there a stretch goal map? I'm curious to see that swamp / know at what level it unlocks.
Also, when should we add on for postage? There's no prices listed on the main page yet, but will you want it included in the pledge, or sent separately later? You should be able to set a postage rate for delivery 6 months from now (rates won't change much in a span like that).
I'm fine with either option, as long as I know the cost if I need to include it in my pledge, of course!

I don't think there's a map, which is odd. Basically every 1500 extra they unlocked another, and let people who posted the most links pick. Which can help get the ball rolling, but can skew sales as its not representative of what your customers want as a group, just the person who was quickest to post a link on a forum. From their most recent comments it looks like they're setting up a poll somewhere for the future ones, so that's good.
Still, with the speed this funded, I'd imagine all the initial sets will be unlocked, and they'll be asking for new ideas soon enough. I also wish we had better images of a cast of the full positive impression. Ideally painted gray and washed to bring out the detail. Some of the bases sets look crisper than others, but I can't tell if that's a mold issue, painting issue, or cast issue.
Pics without the miniatures on them would honestly be better IMO, as they detract from being able to see the base (the actual product). I totally agree the front page is really busy.
I'd also love to see someone do a "Hawkeye Initiative" version of the Warmaiden Sal mini lol.
I've backed at the 2 level, will wait and see what else gets unlocked.

I was in the 1st KS and I was extremely happy with the results (even if I have spent a fortune in Green Stuff). My issues with this KS are similar to Mobile phones, you spend your money and are happy but in 12 months times its like. ..oooh, it's similar but with better features and I must have it!
And here I am 6 months or so after receiving 5 of the last bases and I can now get larger double sided ones (I have pledged for 4 of them) but my old ones will soon be obsolete with little resale value after a decent amount paid out.
I have used the bases for both my forge world Mechanicum and Chaos Dwarf armies and they look amazing, also see them below for my Mierce Miniatures.

i know its a pain that we have made then 255% (ish) better - for the same price... im sorry about that! but its been a whole year since we did Basius 1 - and its taken that long to get them how we wanted them - now they should not ever need to be updated - we expect to just increase our texture style options in the future!!
heres a nice pic of green pressed into HEX - i made it today and i think it turned out quite nice. Its on a white 40mm DS Base that has a deep cavity.

Yeah, all will be unlocked soon. I'm hoping they start soliciting for new ideas. I really want a hellscape/nightmare world type one. Screaming faces, hands pushing out of the earth, cracks with flames, dead bodies, rivers of blood/lava, etc. Good for Chaos, Hell Dorado, D&D etc..
The elven, dwarven, and warmaiden seem pretty dull if its just a wide stamp of the same tiled floor pattern, so hope those are just a section of the pad.

I'm hoping they don't add any more, or at most just one more- 20 pads is already a lot, and I'd rather see this complete on-time than get too many other options (many of the already-unlocked options are not even done yet, with no pics shown).

There is already talk of a 'Basius 3' next year and Dave is already taking note of suggestions being made. Of course you can multilayer the stamps made so you could add things on top of the stamped green and/or use different parts of different stamps on the same base.
and we will have post prices from MANTIC soon - they are awesome by the way - did I say that yet? well.... they are. 
. Hope to see the swamp picture very soon, and hopefully have it unlocked! I voted for it
