Haven't seen this posted yet (and yes, I checked, and no, I am not associated with them).

Robert Cirillo's company Quantum Gothic makes excellent sci-fi Gothic scenery and should have their online store open again very soon! No 'Nid-related pieces, but they do make some very nice gear, including alternate Void Shield Generators (their PW2K's) and missile launchers, among other things. This is great news, I have been waiting for this for a long time.

Weekly update #1

I promised to myself ( and you ) I would keep you posted as much as possible on all relevant developing events regarding QG, so, let’s see what came through our quantum portals:

> PW800 and the Radar Dish: I’ve now had official word from the casting company that the first runs are all done and are now being checked and packed, ready for shipping.

I’m now anxiously awaiting for the final shipping details.
Based on the previous info received last week we’re running a few days late on schedule but I’d rather make sure all the parts are properly checked and packed before leaving the manufacturing premises. Hopefully, sooner than later!

> Missile launcher Catalyst and Communication Array : the newly redesigned parts area done, these need now a good cleaning and to double check they fit perfectly. I’ll post some images when ready.

> In regards to the next kits to be cast, I’m thinking to perhaps do a small ‘master’ production run before sending them off for the main run, this way we’ll have a few ‘preview’ kits available for prize-events give away and also a possible limited first-come-first-served sell spree!

An announcement will soon follow, make sure to not miss it!
Be Well!

We’re finally (almost) back! After a long time and lots of hard work we’re now virtually ready to get back into ‘business’ and what better start than opening a cool facebook page!

So, without further ado let’s get started with our first official updates.

1 - As a first announcement I’m pleased to tell you that soon the first from our most wanted scenery resin kits will begin to make a comeback: the Power Generator PW800 and the Radar Dish. The company in charge of castings have assured us last week that the first runs are almost done and should soon be ready for shipping. Updates will follow on that in due course.

2 - Keeping within the updates from the scenery range, the next kits scheduled for new runs will be the missile launcher ‘Catalyst’, Armoured Wall set and Communication Array. The missile launcher ‘Catalyst’ is being re-mastered with a new front-inset design which will make future add-ons easier to design and manage. The Armoured Wall sections are being revisited to make them more practical for manufacturing and lighter in an attempt to lower postage charges – the frontal design/architecture will remain identical to the original because it’s just too cool! The Communication Array will also remain essentially identical to its original design although some small improvements have been made to reduce the overall number of parts.

3 - As far as for the remaining kits, well, they are all being put through a series of practical assessments for further development/re-visitations. Relevant updates will be posted when available.

4 - Online-Shop/Website: Not very long to go now - final touches are being implemented – hopefully it will go live towards the end of September beginning of October, although the actual website may come back online earlier than the online shop which is dependent on the product availability.

5 - Here comes now the really hot Iron: For the past 8 months we have also been very busy on a new front of Quantum Gothic, a long dreamed desire to complement the QG scenery range with something a bit more ‘unique’ and that would help give QG a more definite place across the miniature war-gaming community, a soul to help bring in a more definite character to this range. To achieve that we’ve been very, very busy developing our very own Quantum Gothic 32mm Miniature range!!

Expect lots of very cool images of the first characters to start making an appearance in our future battlefield updates, ...and more .

Many great exciting things are being lined-up to happen throughout the future coming weeks and we sincerely hope to get all the possible support from you to help us accomplish all these goals and make your QG miniature war-gaming experience a truly exciting one!!

Thank You and spread the word!!!...

Huzzah! I have wanted some of their Catalyst missile launchers since I accidentally found them on google over a year ago.

The product quality and design was always top shelf but the biggest problem when dealing with QG is their "on again off again" availability. Hopefully this has finally been sorted.

I used two of their missile launchers for Manticores. Badass stuff!

Whoa.. This stuff is really impressive. I rarely buy non-GW terrain because it doesnt have the right "look" for 40k but this stuff is top notch! I'm going to seriously watch this.. and I tend to buy a lot of stuff from indy companies I love. (I bought 3 warlords from titan manufactorum for instance!)

Er.. resin is great for terrain and its better than terrible styrofoam or MDF (While good for infinity is bad for 40k imo). Main reason I rarely buy non-gw terrain is because of the durability.. I know my plastic terrain isnt gonna wear out.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Sweet, I was so annoyed when I found out about QG literally a few days after they stopped trading the last time. Hopefully with all of the production outsourced they can get on with putting out more awesome designs and we can actually buy the bloody things

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

I brought a bunch of their stuff when it first came out years ago, if they keep the same QC then it'll be fab stuff. I've always wanted a few extra bits from them so I'll be sticking in an order when they do eventually surface.

I really like the look of those bunkers; they remind me of the Forgeworld pillboxes that aren't in production anymore. Snarky comments about resin terrain aside, I'm actually happy to see more of it since I'm so fatigued by MDF stuff as of late.

The great gothic look and not even waaaaay too many skulls.

Nice to see some resin terrain, most MDF/lasercut/CNC stuff out there is rather dull in my humble opnion. There are a few companies who can pull it off (CNC workshop being one of them), but most other companies seem to really only delve on the surface of what the technology is capable of.

Now, I'll grant you snide, and I may be ignorant, but that other part of your post was way out of line.

That's the kind of comment I usually type out and then decide against actually posting unless I have more content to add to it. I must have been pretty out of it yesterday. The designs do look nice, and it is always nice to have more options on the market, but if you can't find humor in the total glut of people making the same things the same way to sell to the same people, then I guess these products are for you. I can also direct you to a company who makes WW2 German Orks.

Automatically Appended Next Post:

The bigger pictures help sell the terrain. I love that they captured the 40k look (although that wall has a conspicuous lack of dead guardsmen), but the only items I'm really excited for are the quantum cannon and the satellite dish. What are the prices like?

Neither does this stuff, though, because it doesn't have enough skulls. I don't think I saw a single one in any of those pics, actually, and without skulls it doesn't really "fit in" because 40k's all about backwardness, stupidity, and over-the-top "grimdarkness", which is all sorely lacking here.

That pillbox is especially dumb. I can only suspend my disbelief so much, and without a single corpse anywhere near the base of the structure I simply can't accept that this exists in the 40k universe, it pulls me right out of the game. Same with the walls and what appears to be some kind of gate, where are the dead Guardsmen? Where are the fething skulls? You can't replace "proper" GW terrain, don't waste your money trying.

Those are some really fantastic designs. I'm just having trouble figuring out which game they should be used in. I mean, the gothic angle suggests 40K, but as there isn't a skull to be seen doesn't that make them illegal?

Well, being a third party product technically makes them illegal anyway. GW games are supposed to be played with Citadel miniatures, says so in the rulebook.

lol, the last thing I need is encouragement, but you're welcome anyway.

Just noticed in the OP that this is Roberto Cirillo's company? Same guy that's done concept art work for GW and others?
