I'm currently making a 600pt-ish list of Mordian Iron Guard, due to availability of special weapons/heavy weapons teams I'm trying to find a viable alternative. I'm still getting to grips with rules and tactics so I'm looking to make a simple yet somewhat competitive list. Advice on modifications to the list and how to play with it effectively are welcome, aswell as constructive criticism.

So here goes:

HQ:
Lord Commissar: 85pts
-Carapace Armour
-Power Sword

Troops:
3x Veteran Squad: 420pts
-Carapace Armour
-Chimera Transport

Fast Attack:
2x Armoured Sentinel: 100pts
-Plasma Cannon

Thanks in advance.

drop the plasma cannon on the sentinels, take the lascannon or autocannon. other then that, looks good so far.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Thanks for the tip, which is better to take, scout or armoured Sentinels?

I'd drop the Carapace Armour on at least 1 squad and use the points for some special weapons, even some Flamers would improve it.

As I mentioned I'm rather limited on the models I intend to use, finding Mordian Special Weapons for a price below extortionate is proving a challenge.
I intend to use this list to learn the rules and get some experience under my belt in the short term, in the long term the option for conversions becomes possible which should alleviate my troubles with special weapons.
Would it be worth re-jigging the list to add a tank/more sentinels/a hellhound?
