ok so my goal here isnt necessarily to be competitive, but i would like to get a win here and there and most importantly make people earn their win and just be annoying lol .

Give the quad gun guys cammo drop the carapace, most guns that go through flak will go through that too, a better coversave would be better? Join the lord commissar to them have him shoot (bs5 right?) Use the squad as his ablative wounds for him.

Correct they would have a 3+ cover behind the line. Commissar yarrick can issue orders so why not have that vet squad "split fire" (Com shoots quad, squad shoots something else?) so that extra 15 points you now have could go toward special weapons. (id take an AC and flamer or grenade launcher) but you could do a missile launcher too.

Or instead of leaving yarrick within an order range, buff his squad to handle hits/CC a little better with the 15 points. Either special weapons or a Power Axe on the sergeant.

I personally think commissars and yarrick are better off in blobs and platoons.
I would also spread your battle tanks out into their own squads. 1 squad of 2 and another by itself. That way you can fire at more targets.
