I hope BoW's new Infinity Week will be next week, I love watching their videos. I know I'll be doing the preorder next Monday.

I can't see how it would not be. Having it coincide with the pre-order start would just be too sensible.

Two hardcover books in a slipcase and not printed in some distant land? The Campaign: Paradiso book is $55 retail, the Human Sphere and 2e book are both $50. I doubt that they will charge $50 for each of the books in the slipcover. We will know soon enough.

EDIT: because if you abbreviate The Campaign: Paradiso to "C" ":" "P" you get C instead of what you intended. Lol

I have to admit while the new covers look great I kind of miss the anime style covers of the other books.

Its actualy one book split in half....so kinda akward if they want 50 per book.

We should bombard BoW mail with "Hi, when is next Infinity week?" till it colapse under weight of our cries.

That book really looks amazing. I love it.

I'm fairly certain that's not it.

IIRC from talking to the folks at GenCon, the "fluff" portion is going to be hardcover while the "rules" portion is going to be softcover.

But that may have changed.

They both look hardcover to me.

But, that's how I would expect the division as well.

Well, I've got mixed feelings on this. The rules are still free though right? and what is the 2nd book for, I know one of them is the core rules but what is the other one fluff or something?

The smaller book is core rules, the larger book is fluff, and yes, they will be keeping up-to-date rules online.

Fluff, art, story..maybe some painting tutorials and how expand army beyond starter set?

I haven't got my icestorm yet and now they tease with pre order for rulebook. I wish CB started working on Sundays and maybe they should consider shift work as well to fulfil demand. Seriously stop slacking guys

I must say I like the mercenary even more from this angle. He is bulky a bit but finally he looks like a regular guy wearing thick set of armor not a anorectic person with paper thin body armor. Also seams he's wearing a back pack.

This news came in to my life like a wrecking ball. Of awesome.

I like the bonus model more with that angle.

CB better use the Rage Fist sparingly going forward. That ABH is the 3rd in recent memory to sport one.

Awh man. Can't pre order til I next get paid really but will do so ASAP as possible.

I love the new mobile brigada but it did hit the cliche double wammy with foot on rock and rage fist didnt it.

I'm not sure how they "resolve" rage fist though if they're going to keep chests exposed. I mean, obviously the "correct" thing he'd really be doing when firing a rifle is having both hands on the rifle...

I shall be right down to my FLGS on monday to see if I can preorder those books, oh yes I will.

I had $50 I got for my birthday that I was squireling away to put half into a box of Dropzone Commander. I think I know where it's instead being spent.

Yeah, I gotta say I don't agree with that change. Brings back memories of statically posed character models in 40k just because they wanted each hand free for conversions, only this time it's to show off the detail of the sculpt. Infinity models are their strongest when they're dynamic and interesting (like that Asawira - what a sculpt!), not standing there saying 'the gun is in my right hand, the sword is in my left hand'.

The ragefist doesn't bother me... too much. Maybe he's got some kind of nifty electronics in his suit and clenching his fist is how he purges target data... or orders readers digest.

It doesn't bother me as a pose, but it bothers me if it's going to become a very regular pose just because they want to show off how awesome their sculptors are at doing chest armour.

I tend to prefer models that look like they are in combat so they have their guns pointed as if to shoot or held in a way which looks like they are moving but combat ready.

The rage fist has nuthin' on the fanny pack of fury that the bounty hunter sports!

carlos13th - part of the problem is that even with the weapon size reduction, Infinity guns are something like 3-4 times as bulky as they should be. So where those images still show a lot of the chest area, the equivalent pose with an Infinity model just has a bunch of gun covering the front. :(

Case in point, look at the two male Fusiliers at the back:

That really has nothing to do with the weapon size but rather the weapon design; which is something for another thread entirely.
