I've had this idea running around my head for a while, and finally have a chance to make it reality. The basic fluff is that it's a knight from a world that was swallowed by the warp, and becoming possesed by a greater deamon of khorne( there will be icons I promise.).Anyway as you can see its very early days. Im planning on sacrificing most of my zombie dragon as well as parts from a number of other kits for this project, so I thought I'd get some opinions while its not too late.

Might want to use the spine and stuff from the dragon to make it more demonish. IMO

Thats one of the ideas I have in mind dude. Plus some leftover parts from my khornemower and various vehicle upgrade pieces. Then instead of the heavy stubber I'll use the hades autocannon left over from my heldrake (possibly). A buttload of skulls and some gs should finish it off nicely.

Absolutley love the head. I am also currently turning a knight into chaos. I ended up using a Forge/maulerfiend. Most of the forgefiend model works perfect on the knight. From the head and neck, armor plates, the guns, the tentacles, alot of it works well. So if you need bits that model is the way to go.

First update time. I haven't had a lot of spare time this week, but I've put in a little work on the head and neck. Some of the gs is still a bit rough, but I can sort that later.

Really liking this!! I bought an IK to convert in to a nurgle knight a few weeks ago - just haven't had any time to start it!! Look forward to seeing the finished product!!

Update 2. Another day off work gave me a chance to get some more done on this thing. Although most of it was spent building the arms, I did get some conversion work done (yes each vertebrae is seperate). Im actually in two minds whether to have the spine run up over the carapace, or do something different there. I also need opinions as to using the zombie dragon wingsor not.

Tonights task. One of the shoulder pads, inspired by the khornemower. So far I think I'm up to 60 individual skulls, with half the panel still to go.
This is one of those jobs I wish I hadnt started. Lol.

End of day update. The shoulder pad is finished, basecoated washed and drybrushed. The chassis is drybrushed silver and shaded.
Theres still a lot of conversion work to do, but having a bit of colour on him helps me figure out what I need to do next.

Im still not sure about the wings though. I think they might be a bit big

Today was my day off again, so out came the modelling supplies. After many hours of cutting glueing and painting, im left with this.
Any opinions are extremely welcome.

Trophies painted up now. Just armour plates, heavy stubber and carapace to go. I'm still undecided on whether or not to give him wings, but that can wait.

He's looking very nice, I'd give the wings a miss as he cant fly.
Save them for a DP.

Dont know anything about the rules about IK's but i would totaly go with the wings that come with the terrorgheist just for that extra pinch of awesomeness

Cheers guys. The tail is still there, its just not visible in the photos. I'll put more pics up once I've done a bit more work on the rear. The problem with the wings is finding a way to attach them without it looking derpy. Ideally I'd use magnets so they can be removed for transport.

First piece of the leg armour started and basecoated today.

Just a quick update on where I'm up to so far. I still have the heavy stubber/hades autocannon to paint, as well as the knee and shin plates. I'm also still waiting for the parts to finish the carapace. Other than that he's nearly finished, so I'll be starting to bulk out the fluff soon. So far I'm leaning towards the idea of a knight household who's homeworld was swallowed by the warp. With the k ights themselves slowly secoming to the temptations of chaos, and eventually deamonic possession. This gives me the chance to build knights themed around all four chaos gods, as well as chaos undivided. Malal may also end up being represented.

Anyway..... picture time.
