$100 printer, $60 for a liter of resin, It's slow and the print resolution may depend on the power of your PC and it's soundcard.

$400 if you want it preassembled

$1,000 for the deluxe version with it's own microcontroller.

The real sell is the $100 version. It's cheap enough that it's worth a try.

There was a Kickstarter for this, but I just got an email today about them opening up pre-orders to the gereral public.

I am so glad that the patent expired on this laser resin tech.

Not so sure about this one though.

I'm curious to hear the reason the printer is soundcard dependent - if anyone can provide an explanation.

It's all a bit vague.
The only hard fact they post is the 0.2mm wall minimum thickness.
It appears to use amplitude modulation to move the print-head. They say they've got it working for various devices, including Apple smartphones, and are working on Android. If a headphone socket is all you need, quite an achievement.
5. Will smartphones and other devices be able to run the Peachy Printer?

Yes! Smartphones, radios, stereos, and mp3 players that have DC coupled audio will be capable of controlling the X and Y axises of the printer. However, only smartphones, computers, and micro-controllers will have the ability to detect the Z-level. We may implement a stretch goal to write software for android and iOS that runs the printer.

Sound waves move a mirror, which reflects the laser onto the print surface.

All hail our technical wizard overlords. This is immensely cool in the potential it offers.

I don't know if I'll pre-order one, but when these are finally released I'll put money down on one.

Wow, that could be fun, also I have a nice soundcard, so it might be put to some good use!

I'm sure this would be fine for terrain mould-making.

I thought there was at thread for something like this before

I've got a bunch of ideas for what I could do with a 3D printer, and the print quality on this looks better than the layerd slices of ABS plastic you see with the $1000 printers currently out there.

If I can print a Warhound Titan with it, it's already payed for itself

About a year ago there was a thread for the Peachy Kickstarter.

Figured it was better to avoid the inevitable thread necromancy posts for reviving that thread.
