I am in the process of assembling some British Achilles tank destroyers by BF and noticed most of the crew look like Yanks in M1 helmets. Looking around the internet for 15mm British tank crew brings up very few results apart from tank commanders by Skytrex and dismounted crew by BF, is there any more out there ?
If not please can somebody starting making British tank crew(not commanders) but bog standard chappies in berrets If you can put a pipe in the mouth of the crew and a hand holding a cuppa char all the better
Anyway out with the sharp knife and off with the heads
Wonder if a para head could do the job ?

Dunno what the figures are, but British TD crews often wore the RAC helmet...
Guys in open topped vehicles often liked a metal pot on their head in action. Automatically Appended Next Post:
Not TD crew, but you get the idea...

This isn't the best solution, but...
Battlefront sells a "dismounted British tank crew" set that includes four dismounted tankers. Only one of them wears a helmet, and with some amputations it might be possible to use them as mounted crew. The poses are somewhat awkward, though, and one of them is carrying a long gun.

Use the correct colors, and they will look 'less American'. British tank crews were issued helmets and did use them, especially in open topped vehicles like the M10. A posed picture like the middle one is not proof that they didn't wear them in combat situations.

I've got some spare british tank crew from other FoW models, all head and shoulders, but if you want head swaps they'll be ok. They all have berets and earphones.

Best option for me plus a few para swaps. Guys I`m not slagging BF I`m just after tea drinking ,beret wearing, pipe smoking geezers. I just want something different to the norm whatever the crowd goes with.
Plus I would wear a helmet in an open tank as well ,plus body armour
Thanks Howard I`m good for spare parts Automatically Appended Next Post: darkness screamer wrote:Eumerin wrote:This isn't the best solution, but...
