What are some good HQs for the Grey Knights? I'm looking to start playing as them, but, I dont have a codex yet for research to do on my own.

Generally Librarian with ML3 upgrade is considered most cost effective option.

With loss of Grand Strategy I personally think Grandmaster is bit overcosted nowadays, but both it and Brother-captain can get Relentless Psycannons (though at bit high price) and are not straddled with pre-gen psychic powers.

IMO, Crowe is useless as he doesn't do FOC shifting anymore, and he is pretty poor in CC, unless you're in challenge.

Cannot go wrong with a Brother Captain. Its cheaper than the Grandmaster but is still a good fighter. Don't succumb to peer pressure and go the librarian route.

But the librarian does everything what a BC without a psycannon does and he has a higher psy lvl, and th e BC with psy cannon costs too much to be a good option.

Librarian is the only option to take in the codex. the BC would be ok, if he either had some nice special rule or cost 20pts less.

I guess, tbh I wish that other HQs would be better to bring variety to GK's lists but ahh well.
