Battlefront has announced the points values for the 2014-2015 tournament season. The points are as follows:

EARLY WAR: 1,390 points
MID WAR: 1,710 points
LATE WAR: 1,900 points

And now for the rumour. People with the new Barbarossa book are saying that the paint guide in the back of the book no longer use Vallejo colours. The paints have names like 'Grenadier Green' and 'Komrade Khaki' (really? ). An email to Battlefront's customer service received a reply that the new paints are from Army Painter.

Late war is 1900 pts? Wow.
US artillery park will have to use the enemy's deployment zone, too.

Yes, there's a lot of negative comments about the Late War being 1,900 points on Battlefront's forums.

It's the North America points - hopefully Europe and the UK will be different.

Basically Barbarossa lists for soviets and Germans are not going to be plaid, whilst in LW big cats and arty parks win

It's interesting that Battlefront and Valejo may be severing ties. Army Painter are going to have their work cut out for them if they are going to be producing some sort of official paint line for Flames of War. The sheer scale of Valejos range is vast, it will take a while for Army Painter to even come close to matching it.

I will keep using the valejo paints they are readily accessible and have had great experience with them plus I do t want to paint more tanks with a different brand of paint and them not match my others

Sounds like someone may know more than his NDA will allow him to say Anyway, some posters on Battlefront's forums claim to already have paint sets with the Army Painter paints.

1900 seems a little excessive
