So I am considering a white scars army for tournament and personal liking reasons. But one things is price and its very scary. I was just wondring if there was any ways to still get a lot of bikes for a cheaper price. Any help would be appreciated.

The DA battleforce is a good place to get some. Well, at the very least you get some spare RW sprues and a speeder.

Dark Vengeance Dark Angel Ravenwing Bike Squad off of ebay. You can get 3 bikes for ~14 usd. Of course this assumes you don't care about the heraldry.

Okay so gettibg Dark Angel bikes are really easy and cheap but does anyone know if I can convert the DA bikes into vanilla marine bikes, maybe?

Gotta agree with the DV guys. Many shops who have the one with the 6th edition rulebook will sell them at discount which is great for you.
If you know chaos players who like to use bikes, they will likely have the normal marine torsos that come with them and usually get cast aside since they use the chaos torsos (not to mention spare arms for gripping handlebars). You can mix these onto the DV bikes to give you more non-plasma/sarge guys.

Just scrap off the DA symbols with a modelling knife, will take about 5 mins per model. I do t think there is a lot of detail that is awkward to remove.

But since you're canadian, I can see that that box isn't actually as cheap as I thought it would be.

The DA battleforce are basic bikes, no chapter markings. All the symbols are on the separate spures. Some of which can be used for non-DA chapters without work, some which need a little.

The Dark Vengeance bikes, and the other, more modern ravenwing minis are going to take some time with a hobby knife before they can be White Scars.

if you have a dremil, you can save a lot of time taking the icons off so that it doesnt take very long at all with hardly any work beyond pointing and pressing.
Gotta love the dremil with different attachments.
