Hi, I've recently had a conversation with my friend who playsgk, and he said that mon bikers are cheese (this is coming from his duel dk but i digress)

Personally i dont see how they are hard to kill, all he needs to do is either get to cc with the dk, or activate hammerhand on litarly anything and I'll die, but he insists on standing back and shooting them.

So what do you guys think? Are they cheese or is he being stupid? :p

Do you have a high percentage winning ratio against him?

In my opinion nurgle bikers are not cheese at all.

I love my nurgle bikers, they are sooo green. Moaning about cheese is the sound of a player you don't want to play.

I need a T shirt, or something similar, to wear to the gaming shop with that message.

I've won 2 games out of 5 against him in which i played with a friendly list. He usually takes all the stronger units he has access to and i asked if he could possibly try using a single dredknight for a change and i got the nurgle biker cheese shouted at me.

Thing is i also play against a tau player and we all typically played friendly lists, this was until the new gk book came out and there for the net list was born in our group :/

There is only one possible solution for this dilema.

Field MORE Nurgle Bikers !!!

Thing is, they die really easy, although he doesnt seem to ever remember this. I'm honestly thinking of trying to make an uber cheese list to counter him but seems impossible with chaos?
Gets on my nerves really :/

I had a game where a guy put 2 mon Biker Squads. My Dreadknight single-handedly wiped out one of them, though that took quite a while because his Sorcerer kept casting Endurance on them and I forgot to activate Force. The other squad absorbed a real beating, but apart from being tough, they didn't really do much.

Mark of Nugle Bikers are not that cheese. The Dreadknight with S10 attacks will murder them like any other units. The thing is that Chaos don't have any unit that can go toe to toe with Dreadknight, not even the Prince who will get Gatling Psylencer with Force to death before even getting to close combat. I can't see anything in Chaos that can be cheesy apart from 2 or more Helldrakes. But even then, the GK 2+ armor will probably hold.

Is this DK bashing week? Two threads of GK players being mean to the non-GK players?

GK player don't "just take the strong units", GK players take the better of two choices in each slot, depending on playstyle. Our choices for troops are TDA (universally consider bad in other armies) or PA with awkward special weapons. For Elites we can take 2 wound TDA (universally considered too expensive), Super Psyker Flamer PA (universally considered our best unit), or Dreadnoughts (universally considered our worst unit). For Fast we have PA, an expensive Flyer, or non-dedicated dedicated Rhino transports. For Heavy we can take DreadKnights (our actual best unit in the game) or Land Raiders (universally considered too expensive for their role, yet thankfully if you want one, they can be taken as DT for the GKT). So, a GK list using the NSF FoC will almost always have a Librarian (best HQ because it's both cheap and useful), 1-2 GKT or Strikers (because Troops), and 2 DK (because not taking 2 means you don't have at least 2 DK models to take). The rest is either Purifiers, Interceptors, Draigo, allies, or a second NSF. Those are our choices. To not take those core choices, we might as well not play Grey Knights in 7th.

Now, this in no way gives a GK player the right to be a whiny DB when it comes to what choices their opponent takes. If they aren't selecting good units, it's their own damn fault. But GK players have no moral high ground to dictate what other people can or cannot take, just like everyone else.

Personally, MoN Bikers are Cheesecake Cupcakes, with Cheese frosting served on big'ol slice of cheddar. But that's just me. I'll still play you with my Draigo Shuntwing NSF, because I like cheese, too.

Bikes in 7th edition are cheesecake factories in general, but nurgle bikers don't have access to gravguns or white scar's CT, while also costing more than codex SM bikes.

I shall take the rule of the bad guy.

@total0 git gud. :p

In other news, GW has started to turn to New Unit rules in the box! What this could potentially mean is anyones guess, perhaps the GK and BA codex will receive another flyer, one that is actually fething exclusive to them and cover their inherently shared weaknesses?

Or perhaps the GK/BA alliance will advance! I expect to see the DreadBloodKnights take the field shortly! We can expect them to have a converted piece of equipment, while the GK lost their Nemesis Doomfist, BA are expected to have Angel Bloodfists. However due to company secrets the DBK will no longer have shunt, instead it will have a No-scatter Deepstrike available!
