Hello all! So about a year ago I found my WEG Star Wars Miniatures Battles books, which got me inspired to play some games of WEG SWMB. So, I bought a WEG SWMB lot on Ebay that had approximately 120+ WEG Star Wars models. I had the intention of painting them, but of course life got in the way and here we are a year later. So I murdered life and buried it in a shallow grave. Now I've got plenty of time. Anyway, I've been painting Stormtroopers and I wanted to share my progress with who ever cares (if anyone). I plan to update this post somewhat regularly (every once in a while life crawls out of that shallow grave and has to be beaten back down) with painting updates and battle reports with what I've painted. Oh yeah, please keep in mind that my painting skills are far from expert, so I'm open to any techniques that would improve my skill. So here are the six Stormtroopers that have taken me about a week to paint. I'm currently working on six more and will post pics when those are done as well.

Here is an update. Got the next six Stormtroopers finished.

And here is the group as a whole.

So I thought that I only had those 12 Stormtroopers, but I found nine more plus a Storm Skimmer, which would give me two squads of 10 plus a vehicle. I'm kinda burned out on painting Stormtroopers right now though, so I decided to paint up some Rebel Commandos and a Wookiee Scout character to face off against my Stormtroopers in a small game to get me used to the rules. Here is my progress on the commandos.

Until next time.

UPDATE!

Man life straight-up ambushed me, but I beat it back down and should be able to focus on the really important things like miniatures and gaming.

Anyway, I'll cut straight to the chase. Got some painting done. Finished out all my stormtroopers so that I now have two squads of 10. Also finished painting nine rebel commandos. I'm currently trying to paint enough models to play the "Defend the Bridge" scenario in the WEG SW miniatures battles main rule book. That means I'll need 40 models for the Rebels and 25 models for the Imperials. Almost done with the Imperials. Just need to paint five Zero-G Spacetroopers and the Imperial order of battle will be complete. Right now I'm working on a squad of ten Rebel Troopers. I will update more regularly now that I am dedicated to this project (let a LOT of other stuff get in the way of this. I'm easily distracted). Anyway, posted is a picture of the scenario I'll be playing, my nine Rebel commandos and the two finished stormtrooper squads. Until next time.

What miniature line/lines are you using?
And that bridge looks soooo high tech

Jenkins: You don't have jurisdiction here!
Smith Jamison: We aren't here, which means when we open up on you and shred your bodies with automatic fire then this will never have happened.

About the Clans: "Those brief outbursts of sense can't hold back the wave of sibko bred, over hormoned sociopaths that they crank out though."

I'm using models from the old West End Games line by Grenadier, which are the original models made for the ruleset back in the 1990s. My bridge will look about that "high tech" as well. I've only got a stone bridge

Update.

Got a squad of Rebel Troopers painted up. This project is moving a little slower than I would like it to, but it is what it is. Working on a squad of Imperial Navy Troopers at the moment. I should get done with them faster since their uniforms are all black. Anyway, below is my latest work. Not going to win any painting awards, but they are tabletop quality. Until next time.

UPDATE

I'm bringing this project (and thread) back to life. Here is all I have been working on for this project for the past year. Painted some Imperial Navy Troopers, another Rebel Squad, an AT-PT, a land speeder, Grand Moff Tarkin and General Veers as well as a few buildings (only one of which is shown). Also build me a desert table and terrain for it. Almost ready for a battle using the old school West End Games rulebook. I need to paint a squad of Mercenaries and a squad of Zero G Stormtroopers and I think I will be ready. Until next time.
