Hey everyone long time nid lover here who's dabbled with other armies but nids has always been my first and foremost.

I started this army a year or so ago when the nids codex came out but went a little stale over summer as I bought my first house and life just got in the way I guess,

Anyway, I work offshore and have bought 3 warriors with me to paint, at home I have about 60 gaunts a few zoanthropes soon to be replaced with the new ones, a trygon, hive tyrant, fex and some other bits, anyway for now, here is my first warrior of the 3 I have almost done (not based and no green on eyes and pipes etc as I left it at home).

Hope to get some feedback and followers on my nid expansion,

Interesting, very interesting, I usually don't see many Tyranids without the carapace being completely highlighted, but I really enjoy that style with the "dots" contrasting with the carapace. The dark blue also looks damn nice with the bone color

I think what's really missing is highlighting those claws and hooves. They look far too flat.

That's a nice looking warrior! I really like the bone color you've achieved.

The carapace is striking,simple and effective,exactly what you need for nids.
The fleshy parts on it's body also break up the color of the bone nicely,all that remains now is perhaps a highlight on the talons and some basing.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of this

Yes guys you're right, in my haste to get the pics up I forgot to highlight the talons, no biggie though I'll sort it later, and here's a picture of one of my many gaunts so you can see how he'll be based when I get home,

Oh, I like that green for the eyes, that's one nice spot color for the overall scheme, nicely chosen
