The Malanthropes hides behind everyone in the beginning but then moves forward with this highly mobile list. offering synapse and shrouding making these 8 FMC hopefully all get a 2+ jinking, for as long as possible.

The Hive Fleet detachment allows me to get 4 flyrants with only one detachment and one formation, and the skyblight formation allows me to have my OS,

Im not sure if I would I have enough anti vehicule with my 4 Egrubs, 8 tentaclids and 2 str8 vector strike plus close combat. what would you guys think?
Im asking since I kited out my Harpies with double large blasts. I feel the venom cannon isnt worth it and maybe the harpies as dedicated anti infantry could be worthwhile.

The cluster spines on the Crones are since I started like this with the harpies, it could be good to give the crones more range as well.
Maybe taking out all cluster spines and taking 10 more guargoyles filling out the units a bit to get more bodies that come back from the grave.

I do want some Mawlocs though, maybe if I take a CAD instead and sacrifice one flyrant to get 2 explodey worms.

For the first list, I would remove the Cluster Spines and one Malanthrope. That would bring you down to 1850, which does well for most tournamants. In addition, for 2000, you've got enough room for one Mawloc, as well as HVC on the Harpies.

I wouldn't worry too much about Heavy Vehicles, most have rear armour 10/11 and mobility of Flyrants will strip HP easily.

I prefer the first list though I'd drop the excess Crone. That way you can get HVCs on the Harpies (mandatory for me) and more Gargoyles for the ObSec broods or perhaps a Spore Field or 2 to run interference in turn 1.

I prefer your second list for the mawlocs too. I feel three flyrants is plenty, and the threat of mawloc terror from the deep adds another dimension to your army. I feel it provides you with a little more flexibility and a more substantial ground presence than just your gargoyles, which forces your opponent to have even more to consider.
