I am working on a starter 1850 list, I plan to expand what I have more in the future. This is not meant to be for competitive games, mostly just for fun games.

Looks pretty nice, as you say, maybe not "tourney" quality. But that is not what you're looking for. Are you planning to reserve the Termagants? Otherwise I don't see a good use for twin Big Wormys. If you magnetize, you can use them as Mawlocs as well.

In the end, I think you'll be happier with two Mawloc vs twin Big Wormy. Lots of ways to go in the future...pick up a few Pods, grab an additional Heavy or two, Add some more Psychic Power(s). I like the second list better, but I strongly suggest you find the points to put a Thorax Hive on each Tervigon, they really are that good.

Im wondering why you want trygon primes. With the amount of synapse you already have, i think they are overly redundant. I prefer mawlocs myself, but if you are set on trygons, you should drop the primes and save 80 points. Switching to two mawlocs instead of the primes saves you 180 points. That is enough to put the harpy from your second list into your first list and get thorax hives on your tervigons. Nids are fun when you put as many bodies on the field as you can. Also, in my experience, three venomthropes are overkill. Two should be plenty to protect your units for the first couple turns
