As well as a box of IS-2s I've been putting off acquiring, if I can get hold of a Barbarossa book tomorrow then there might be a few last-minute Zvesda purchases, too.

Also, your link isn't working: The Plastic Soldier Company

No idea why the link itself, even wrapped in URL tags, isn't functioning, but seems to work.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Would have bought more but the T-35s were out of stock.

Since I couldn't get a copy of Barb. in time, I had to make some guesses about what I'd need. 5 KV-1s, 3 KV-2s, 10 BT-5s, 10 T-26s, and a LW box of IS-2s later, and I'm £80 out of pocket.

T-35s Don't really interest me, so luckily I wasn't affected by them being out of stock, though I had to get the BTs separately instead of going off the out of stock platoon deal.

I feel the same about KVs. If they do a KV list I may change my mind but T-35s have a list in Rising Sun.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I lined up a whole lot of 15mm British and another Armored Rifle Platton for my US Armor list, then deleted it all when I had to admit to myself that too much of what I have already is unassembled.

Discipline won out in the end, which is rare for me and gaming deals.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

What list are you planning to build? You've got a Soviet Company of over 2,000 points worth of KV's there (with five obr 39s and three KV2s).

I honestly have no idea. I have a soft spot for KVs and didn't want to find myself 1 or 2 tanks short, and the 2s are there in case I want to shove them in somewhere EW/MW. I guess I just wanted to more or less cover most armour bases for Barbarossa Sovs, with my existing horde of T-34s allowing me to plug any points gaps (I'm sure nobody'll mind me proxying a later variant -34/76 or /57 body until I can figure out how many of the proper model I need).

You should have picked up some of Zvesda's T-34 obr 40s. I can't see many people fielding more than about five even in a dedicated T-34 list (like the Tankovy list in Barbarossa).

All the units in Barbarossa that are the same as the ones in Rising Sun are the points values (assuming you take the same rating, Confident Conscript). Between that and the Force org. charts for Barbarossa (which are on BF's website) you can work out 95% of your army. (T-34 obr 40s are equal in cost to 6 T-26s BTW).

The Zvezda T-34s are completely sold out, else I probably would've bagged a few. I wish I'd known how similar Barb. costs are to Rising Sun, though. Would've helped a little.

What about the German side? I already have a Blitzkrieg Czech Panzer list; are the costs in Blitzkrieg the same as Barb. like the Rising Sun ones are for Sovs?

I have both books, start a thread with what you want in your list and I'll try and help you out.

My friend plays Czech panzers, he said that his list from Blitzkrieg was playable without modification from Barbarossa. Barbarossa has changed the early war meta though with the new Soviet armour.

I was chatting to a friend of mine about the sale and he very kindly got me some cromwells, some sherman fireflys and some 7th armoured decals.

I have nice friends.
