Is there any fluff reason the "default" Kodiak warjack (the one on the box) is painted green when all the other Khador 'jacks are painted red?
Not an important question, just curious.

I can't exactly remember, but I think it is that the kodiak in question is part of the Xth Border Legion...I want to say 5th? It's a group that use a lot more green in their uniform

Yup. It's in the colour scheme of khadors fifth border legion. In the fluff, the fifth border legion were the ones who originally made use of the kodiaks to a very large degree in their 'unofficial' war with cygnar a few decades ago, and ultimately made them famous to the extent that when they returned as heroes, the fifth border legion scheme became synonymous with that of the kodiak.

It's also quite a popular 'alternative' scheme.

Thank you. I much prefer the Kodiak scheme, I think I'm going to paint my Winter Guard some variation of it. Not so much Beast-09, looks too much like Menoth.

Yep it's 5th Border Legion. I use that scheme myself for my Khador

Mine to I think the green looks a lot better on the infantry than the gray.
