I have decided to get inot a forces of order faction afer playing a lengthy amount of bad guys for some time (vampires chaos orcs daemons) and having already played high elves before i wnated to get a little more of a power hitter army with some reliable blocks of troops! so for starters i am not planning to run powder yes this rules out some good stuff in the book but i think it can work and will help me build a solid army as opposed to gun line and i like the idea of the dwarven trooper army theme. heres the list!

OK there is the list, after playing a game earlier today i had close to the same list however taking out the runesmith longbeards and bolt thrower i had 24 hammers and 25 regular warriors with GW. the reason ive made the swap is simple, hammerers are very expensive naked to add shields they are still far to soft for my liking the combat prowess of 2 GW attacks is great but the armor i just cant stand behind they get shot to pieces too quickly, at least the long beards are sitting comfortably in the core section so it doesnt feel like i need to cut them to make space.
Dwarf Lord and rune smith will roll with tthe Long beards, the added AP is just awesome may consider having the smith hop in the quarelers for some help in the shooting phase. RuneLORD and bsb go in the stubborn block of ironbreakers, with the AP giving the iron breakers a little more punch and rerolling all their to wound rolls i found that block is just insane to try and get through also the Runey is in there to mitigate magic damage and eat challenges at his staggering T10, today i watched him kill chakaxe the lizard character in CC he offically has my trust.
the warrior block is there to catch something and hold it in place for either the longbeards or the ironbreakers to come in and smash through.
war machines are fairly straight forward, thin the heard or pick monsters and regen things where they can. quarrelers do the same clear chaff as well, with the 30" rg really helps them out imo pressure early and sooner they are in close range the better, plus GW means if they get in a fight they can still rail out some dmg.
so i have 2 questions about this list and need some opinion/feedback
1) hammerers should i give them another chance? i havnt had luck in yes only one game but in my experience i have always found them a somewhat easy to manage target with their low armor, (i am not particularly fond of the idea to run a block larger than 25-30 of them eitehr...)
2) with my rune priests i suppose it might not be the worst idea to trade up some of their runes, like maybe giving the lord who will frequently be in challenges the hit on 2+ or maybe a plus one attack (and drop the dispel rune to the smaller version) and drop a weapon rune on the little priest so he has the bigger dispel rune?
feedback and critiques welcome!
Cheers
Mike
