Hey fellas!
I'm thinking about hosting a Mid - War tournament.
I've never attended a battlefront event so I need a little feedback before I print the flyers.

1. Point value - I'm thinking 1750.
2. Air support. ..it's kinda iffy at best. If your opponent brings it and you dont...your hosed.
3. Scenarios. . Maybe good old free for all , pincer and .....
4. Time limit on games.

Thanks for the feedback fellas!!

Howdy, I've never hosted a tournament but have been to a few, here are my suggestions to your questions:

1. 1750 point value is fine, though MW also runs well with 1500. I would lean towards the lower end as it can make for shorter games.
2. Air support- Absolutely allow it, its not nearly as broken as NGFS was, AA is about the cheapest platoon most armies can field and it's far from devastating. Most people I know don't even bother with air given the hit or miss nature of it.
3. Scenarios- I'd recommend one free for all type game, one defensive battle, and one mobile battle. Round out the missions to make sure no army type (armor, infantry) has a "meta" advantage.
Popular scenarios in the tournaments I've been to are
-Free for all
-Encounter
-Dust up
-Hasty Attack
-Hold the Line
-Fighting Withdrawal
4. Time limit- 2.5 hours is what I'm used to playing.

This is a list of upcoming Flames of War events in the US. It may give you a few ideas.

The sweet spot for MW I think is 1600-1650.

Having done a few MW events at 1500/1550 infantry dominate, at 1700/50 tanks dominate - go mid point for the balance

I would also agree allow air, never known anyone thinks it's unbalanced- over pointed more frequently!

As for missions, I think a fair fight, mobile and defensive are good.

Personally I'd suggest ending on a fair fight - so for someone to win they have to be aggressive!
