Hello! This is a list I am working on for the Cross-Roads GT in march.

It is using ETC rules which limits certain choices but nothing I cant work around. Also there is a 450 point cap to any unit.

I choose shadows on the arch mage to give a little help to the spearmen. I also considered using high magic on him as well. What do you think?

What unit are your Lords and Heroes one? Also remember Archmages and Mages are really easy to kill. My first impression is a very cool attacking list that should ensure quite a few victories. The Lore of Shadow is best when you are versing an army from the Forces of Destruction as this is very effective against them. As a whole great list

I was thinking bsb with the spears (to increase their combat res) and the mages split. Arch with lions and Mage with spears.

I don't know ETC rules, but this looks like an archer list without archers. Shadow magic, max bolt throwers, reavers and eagle. Consider replacing your spears with archers, either 1 big block or several small ones. You lose a few bodies, but gain a lot of ranged output. Your CC potential remains similar, and archer hordes like mindrazor just as much as horded spearmen.

BSB wants to hang with the stubborn lions to minimize chances of autodying due to fleeing combat. Your mages wanna join the party-wagon to benefit from the ward save vs magic (miscasts). And to give the lions ridiculous ward saves vs non-magic from your High magic lore attribute.

Do you think I should do small units or 1-2 larger? I actually only need 600 for core so I could use 28 archers to be exactly on 600.

What to do with the extra points though?

Big archer block wants musician to swift reform. kill the std on the dragon princes, or just kill an archer.

Don't think the bonus combat res is good on them?

+1? Not worth giving up musician on a block of 28 archers.

Is that so I can swift reform and shoot people at odd places?

yup. Mostly fliers/ambushers/scouts
