As the night rises into its peak and all is peaceful in the air around the Empire... The House of Blood were celebrating their recent achievements, unprepared for what would happen to them. When the midnight hour rose, so did the State troops towards the House of Blood, invited in but soon to be their deaths... as the state troops moved from section to section of the keep, slaying all who served the House, being ordered of they were to be put to death for Treason against the Empire.

As the lord of the House was stuck a mortal blow, he fell onto his knees, seeing the state troops leaving his near death lords and himself to die... but unaware to the state troops, a mysterious figure emerged, offering the Lord and his servants of the House an ideal proposal to allowing his House to rise again, as being near death and to save his House, the Lord accepted. He drank from a golden Goblet and once that was done. moments after, he began to feel... alive and his strength increased as he could tell from his muscles... he had being reborn as an Vampire Lord.

As his fellow lords began to drink from the goblet, he worked on his grand plan to bring his dead forces to live again so that he may retreat to the south of the lands to begin taking the Barons and the land owners of lesser Empire servants to his will. But for that he required his old army that resided inside the keep grounds, so he begun his plans into action...

So for Christmas was bought the Vampire Count box to start off my army further then my current Zombies and Necromancer (don't worry they will be involved in the story somewhere so keep sharp eye out!) also to bring somewhere in this Blog the 3rd hero into the army which will be done up in the few days with some luck

Maybe add a betrayal too, another lord newly given power tyre to take the top role for himself?

There will be a betrayal in there during it as any vampire would want Lord status but over time, more will become revealed as any good story does over time *wise nod*

Vampire Counts, nice! Curious how they gonna turn out

They should come out all right or better then expect as gotten some things before hand to get them done a bit more steady paced instead of it being long waits for certain paints to arrive and such alike

As the Lord stepped out from his old Keep, he dragged his Great sword along the ground, feeling his new unnatural strength and magical energy starting to show themselves, sending a dark red energy flowing through his body as he enters the main grounds, seeing bodies scattered through the courtyard, seeing some half buried by kicked up sections of muck and dirt. In his depth of rage, he swing his blade up and straight into the ground, sending a strong pulse of untamed magic as he growls to himself, drawing his blade back from the ground, seeing a large section of the ground begin pulled out with it, being infused by his magical and physical strength. As he lets a long, drawn out exhale from his helmet, he started to see the ground move ever so slightly, starting to see the bodies of his long dead men starting to become unburied from the dirt, showing their bare bones and mud covered armour, as he witnessed his new found power bringing his men slowly back to life, he hears a loud neigh as he looked up, he saw his old war steed starting to step through the moving ground, showing its rotting body moving towards him. As he saw his steed moving up to his side, he would lift himself up with each onto the steed, as he gets himself sat upon his old steed, showing his place for his ever rising men...

So today completed the Vampire Lord on his Undead Steed (as he fought against Chaos so he took the champion of an undivided chaos's armour and used it for himself to show his feat of combat capabilities. His steed was of fear striking into any who went against him.
Also so far only built up 7 out of 20 Skeleton Warriors but aiming to getting them all glued together before Tuesday (if luck is with me) so aiming to get ready to base coat them all by before Friday.

As the Night silence was taken over by the sound of the very ground shifting, the guards that were at the keep of the night the House of Blood were slain began to rise once again from their slumber of death, but finding their bodies had taken their toll in removing all that was once them and now in the view of the moon lit night, showed the bone and metal that now replaced their existence...



Whilst the final of the guards were rising from their dirt covered graves scattered in the courtyard, loud howls mixed with the unnatural noise began to be heard, seeing that two of the ten war wolves the Lord had captured during his battles and tamed to serve him started to move into the area, having their size doubled from their living state...

So today made a huge progress in the four hours of gluing, cutting and broken scalpel, built up the full twenty Skeleton warriors and started with building the Dire wolves, only managed to get two done for today so there is a lot of progress made today so that only leaves the remaining 8 Dire Wolves, the 20 Ghouls & the Corpse Cart folks.

The Blood's forces that once were the keep's guards and in the surrounding land that the House of Blood owned, now rising from their slumber to once again answer the call of the Blood. The army is growing slowly with each passing day, preparing for the Lord's plans of reclaiming what was once his before being struck down.

Whilst she skeleton forces rise, some are half animated whilst others are still being risen from the grounds, seeing sections of their armour breaking as they crawl from the ground, weapons being broken or rusted heavily in sections.

So sorry about the lack of story in this posting folks, as being bit under weather so really struggled to find right words to go into deeper detail about them in story part
So aiming to get more completed as the week goes on as gotten a good routine and painting arrangement sorted out so hoping to make bit quicker progress on with them
The Chaplain head is the best example of what the bone effect will most likely look like on the skeleton warriors at the end result Do apologies as well if pictures of the washed skeletons were bit weird looking, the Black wash really did a number on hiding the features of the Deneb Stone base coat given on the bone sections

Aye aiming to get few more up to the stage them washed ones were at as its just dry brushing work after and along with the bases need painting (along with some flock / sanding) then they are completed

As the very bones of the dead rise from the grave, they have begun to take shape within two of the skeletons as the first complete let out a loud unholy and unnatural screech into the night sky, piercing the very keep's state whilst it stumbled along up to the Vampire Lord before falling onto its bone left knee, sticking his badly eroded blade into the ground in obeying to its new lord and master beyond the grasps of Death itself.

So here is showing off two models which are half way to become complete (Right Side) and the one which is 99% complete (Left Side) showing the first dry brushing of bone effects on the Right model to prepare the origional black washed bones to be given the final dry brush layer. The model on the left side has had all the bone process complete and as you can see it really shows the real details of each bone shown here.
So that has being one of main updates as the other model still needs its full work on and as do the others which had being washed to get all their bases done at the same time (may well so bulk base work then one at time)

Managed to get more done with the Vampire Count army done and pictures will be emerging extremely soon on 7th - 8th March with large update.

sadly our oldest dog in family has being rushed to and from vet hospital for past 3 weeks so being unable to do painting 100% due from that hope all understand and if want to pass on any get wells feel free to.

The sun sets and the moon arises, the ground remains in turmoil as more skeletons begin to crawl their way from their slumber to begin their eternal service to their lord and master. loud unholy screeches are heard from the skeletal figures whilst grabbing old weapons, rusted weapons and even broken steel...



But when they are being prepared, the first risen stand over their ascension into their service, showing their weapons and very soulless bodies ready to bring fear into their opponents...



Within the keep itself is another tale... The old nobles that remained inside after their ascension were to become of vampire nature and to stand above the rising masses of never falling forces... But they were not blessed of being vampire bred, but instead to become the very Ghouls of the night.



In the neighbouring province, an old man felt the strong, new pressence growing in the night, making his choice become fixed as his task of being a cart rider began to become... twisted in view, feeling himself becoming lured to the pressence...



His cart now becoming an unholy pressence as he began to harvest and collect the dead of all who fell in any cause of death. Nobles, Farmers, Peasents, Merchants... Any who fell in the roads and towns would be found on his cart, taken to their service to the new power growing in the night...



If you thought that only the zombies or skeletons were to fear on nights... You are gravely mistaken for even the war wolves of the late house of Blood arise to their master's call to bring even more to his forces.



Among even the weaker of the wolves, one arose first to prepare the ground for their Alpha to be ready to ascend onto the defiled land once again, not even the rotting or bruised bodies of the dead War Wolves can be stopped with only being left with their very husks with nothing inside, they still hunt deep in the night...

So after nearly a month of doing small bits of painting between family related things, made some head way with my Vampire Count army as the skeletons are 2 colours from becoming fully base coated for their wash down.
As the mix it up so wouldn't become bone bored, decided to start up painting the Corpse Cart which was a good thing as well to help get more done along so to show more progress to you all.

The Dire Wolves were only started on the 6th of March expecting for a single wolf to take up a few days to get done fully turned to become at most a few hours and then wolf is done (Big shocker when something seems tricky by sight but when doing it suddenly becomes shorter work)

Hoping to bring more progress in smaller doses but wanted to show 100% every bit of progress that was done

Deep in the night, the restless shamble through the Keep of Blood to salvage the remaining weapons and armour for their growing troop. But at the gate, a low growling could be heard as heavy steps began to draw closer to the Lord standing in the courtyard, witnessing coming into view four of his war wolves brought back to serve his will again... Ready to drag anyone that falls back to their den.



But to why they were dragging them back to their den instead of their master remains a mystery...

So being doing more work into the Undead army and it has just about made my fine detail brush become dead (splitting to high hell). the full complete models (apart from the one furthest left) is fully complete ready for their bases to be done once gotten more models complete (as each squad is to be 100% before bases get done) to keep some order in the rabble lol the rags on the dire wolves are to be of fresh nature as if someone had being keeping parts of them from falling apart or off but may go over them in the future
