I am considering getting into 40k and looking over the Gamesworkshop website I saw the bundles. I had some questions about them.

For what's included are they worth getting as a starting point for an army? I calculated out and figure each is roughly worth 500 points. I'm just not sure if the units included are worth it.

Are they relatively easy to expand out for more points?

Thanks.

Army boxes are a deal money wise. The web bundles usually dont save much money.

Start with a box. play some games to see what you like and dont like. most armies can be designed different ways to accommodate different play styles.

Then proxy some units to test. Rinse and repeat.

then buy lots more

the army boxes generally come with stuff you will use in every case.

Orks! ~28000
Chaos Dwarfs ~9000
Slaanesh ~14700

Glad to hear. I had a little concern with picking up one of the bundles or boxes and being stuck with 500 points of useless.

Basically the only useless starter set is the Tyranid Swarm.
It comes with exactly 0 Flyrants.
I checked.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

You can buy three Flyrants for the cost of Wrath of the Hive.

Yes, definately be sure to get the big boxs. Many of the "bundles" are just multiple seperate boxes sold as one at full cost.
I always compare the big box price with the accumulated price of buying the kits seperately so I can see the exact "savings".

But what if I only want one!

Judging from the two I was looking at. The SW web bundle is not worth getting as a couple more bucks nets a wolf lord on thunderwolf.

Yet the Cadian box seems to be a good deal.
