List 2 for me due to the much stronger saurus block, though I miss the rippers from List 1 and their fast, flying, killing war machines and small unit abilities. But here's what I don't love about List 2:
*Oldblood's Weapon - 35 points for WS10? And he doesn't get the +1A while mounted (unless you're planning ahead for the carno's demise? How brutally pragmatic of you!) I'd prefer a straight up great weapon, or if you want a magic weapon maybe anti-heroes (though his base size doesn't get the most out of it) or might or piranha blade?
*Oldblood's Carnosaur - No loping stride? Make it happen!
*Gor-Rok - I don't hate this Ultimate Badass, especially now that he costs less than 200 points
I just wonder if you could do similar for cheaper with a scar-vet. And by similar I mean kill stuff or be stubborn, or both. If I were running the list, I'd likely downgrade the Rok and spend the saved points on a second solo sally or razor or some terradons or even rippers if they fit. However I can respect wanting to take a cool Special Character with a nice model and some whacky in-game rules
*33 Saurus - Why the extra dudes? And do these guys really not have command models??
*11 Skinks - Again, extra dude? I'm sure it's because you had extra points, but I'm curious about strangling the list to get another unit in ...
If we grind through the above changes - and keep the Rok in because - I get this:
Slann - becalming, harmonic, channeling = 370
Oldblood - armor of destiny, TOTS,
gw, carno w/ stride = 446
Gor-Rok = 185
29 Saurus - full command = 349
10 Skink Skirmishers = 70
10 Skink Skirmishers = 70
10 Skink Skirmishers = 70
20 Temple Guard - full command = 310
Salamander = 80
---------
1950
So 50 points to spend, cool! I leave it to you to figure out what to do with them -
BSB on the toad merhaps? Razor standard on the temple guard? Magic weapon on the oldblood? Etc.
Personally? I'd drop the sally and pick up 2x 1 razordon instead, for more units, more (questionable) shooting, and so on. Or think about picking up 130 points in rippers or terradons instead of the gun beasts, for anti-artillery and such.
