4+ rerollable is better than 3+, 3+ rerollable is better than 2+
You can make a Tyranid infested or pure Tyranid building for the bastion, it works too and it doesn't look bad.
I see the point of your list, what I don't get is why you're investing in Carnifexes and Biovores and Ripper Swarms.
Straight out Flyrant and
MSU mine spam is perfect as it is, and with 5 Flyrants and so many mines, you will just want one bastion with comms relay, maybe a venomthrope, and the remaining points in Mawlocs.
Thanks for the info on the rerolls. Building have
AV not toughness if the had toughness I would look in to it more but it just goes against the grain but it is a option as well. I don't see how a venomthrope would be useful in a Null style list.
5 Flyrants is unbalanced. Flyrants are one of the best units but it is not the only strong build. In fact this list would give if fits as it could not kill everything and a lot of if can kill it and hurt it. The rippers can hold objectives where the spore mines can't. The biovores can be replaced with a Mawloc but I like having a shooting threat that reroll
IB. If they miss the mines can still assault the target if I wish. They make more road blocks. Also they can be hard to kill in cover if I need more units on the board for the null deployment. They are just a cheap flexible scoring unit that doesn't run away or eat it self.
What's wrong with fexs? The can pod in and the jet to get real close to what you want them to shot and they can assault the next turn if needed. They are a threat to almost anything and if terrain permitting they will have a cover save making them even harder to kill. Seamed like a no brainer to me.
Personally I am not sold on Mawlocs. You need lots of them and they really want to hot infantry not tanks and such. They miss to much for me.
