Found this looking for Necron bits for my son. A beautifully painted and converted army.

Wow. I especially like the Ork (Edit: Doc Ock-Ork?) in the Tesseract Vault.

Now to find a fluff reason for this monstrosity of an army ...
No, I got nothing.

I saw that a couple days ago. I'm shocked people are trying to sell that! It's so beautiful.

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).
Keep on rolling

Maybe they need a car.

Must be the saddest ork atm. In need to sell such a masterpiece.

The Scarab swarms are absolutely fantastic, brilliant stuff.

He says he'll split it into 2 x 2000 points if offers come in so about 4k total fieldable?

Pretty cool stuff for sale

The Orks/Necron are nicely themed together, so it'd be a shame to split them. The only question is:

Did the Orks assimilate the Necron, or did the Necron assimilate the Orks It looks more to me like the Necron were Orkified.

This is so original and amazing and a shame the owner is selling! I bet this army always gets THE best reaction wherever it gets used

Not particularly well painted... but an A+ for creativity.

There is not this idea.

That's definitely something else! The ork fan in me is amazed, the other part of me is stunned by the asking price. I'm sure it's worth that much, but whoah.

These orks have Necron weapons ... that's pretty much impossible, considering the Necron fluff. So a simple handwave isn't quite enough in this case (unless that stuff only looks like Necron equipment ... in that case, sure, orks be orks, but it's also a little boring).

Yes, it's very possible. Necron tech doesn't always phase out or self-destruct, and as a result the Mechanicus (sp) has been able to study it here and there.

Furthermore, if you ransack the right tomb world, or all the tomb worlds in a given empire, the stuff won't have anywhere to go. And, if you're lucky enough, the self destruct processes will have been damaged somehow (due to time / the combat itself) to keep the whole place from going boom.

Is it extremely likely? Nope. Is it possible? Absolutely.

Well Orks were constructed by the ancients to have a natural instinct to deal with very advanced technology. The imperial can't even understand ork tech. That a Big Mek found a way to loot it is no suprise. Maybe he made a big Lootbeam weapon. One that would prevent necrons countermeasures. (He probably didn't even know what the weapon would do in the first place)
It would be the Orky thing to do
