Opinions and advice appreciated on how well you think this army will fair as an all comers list. The Dogres are for cracking open armor and monsters and I'm not sold on Death, may switch to Nurgle lore.

Some Small Things
1. Nice lord build, do enjoy the Hellfire sword
2. Drop halberd on BSB (to make his shield usable for 2+ rerollable, also parry save)
3. Drop banner of swiftness, move standard of discipline to Tizz warriors (where the general is going!)
4. Drop 18th Tizz warrior (making the unit 17 + lord, run 6-wide)
5. Pick up 5 warhounds so you have a chaff unit
6. Stare at remaining 10 points and decide what small upgrade works best for you: drogre champion, crusher champion, 10 points in warhounds upgrades (poison + skin; vanguard), something packed onto a character, not banner of eternal flame on a warrior block

That's really about it. I am really not a fan of ahw on warriors - if you want to kill things, halberds (or gw!) are far preferrable; if you want to tough out, shields in a heartbeat. Ahw only effect the few warriors who will be in the front rank, which in a unit run 5-wide with two characters is going to be only three! Versus halberds which buff the supporting rank, and shields which buff the entire unit.

IDK about the shartak..........

Vangard on the dogs is pretty powerful when you are talking about controling the movement phase

SHAR. TAK.

(I find vanguard on a single unit of dogs means you're tempted to overextend them and get them killed even faster. I can see the use of the extra move - when you've got a hard flank for some war machines, let's say - but I feel like most times the impulse to go 'sure I've got vanguard, why not?' is not necessarily a good one)

Let's not forget that vanguard is pointless in a unit that is unable to control the movement phase.

I was trying to avoid actually typing shartak I know a lot of people hate the name but I think it's cool if you pronounce it right. And I agree with the critisism for the vanguard if I was using two or three units of dogs I would vanguard them all the way but one unit needs to play it close to the chest.

Thanks, the whole idea was to use that weapon cause it sounds so cool but no one uses it, I suspect because of the flaming.

I'd make both characters MoT and mount them on demonic steeds. Same with the hero. MoT, armour of destiny, halberd/great weapon.

I'd give the crushers a standard, and put the gleaming pendant on it.

Not sure how I feel about the dragon ogres. You could get 4 more skullcrushers for that price.

Daemonic Steeds are a waste of points on Lords. Could work on the bsb by giving him an extra wound but he won't get LoS rolls and I don't. My dragon ogres are suboptimal but not bad especially when buffed by nurgle Magic even though they are not skull crusher good 2x2 and they are perfect for flanking heavy cavalry.

The Lair of Vengeance....Poole.

I'd stick both on discs. Sure they don't have the ftangible benefits of Durty D-mounts, but flying Tzeentch characters are all the rage now. They can take shooting, whereas princes can't, and they can dictate the movement phase.

Considering how the game revolves around fast small units, a durable bro who can be where he needs to at any given moment is a must have. And Tzeentch Disc characters are the epitome of that.

They give you immunity to killing blow and better mobility than M4 (or M1 on a disk, when joined to a unit). You've got a lot of points tied up in slow units that are very easy to chaff and avoid. The crushers and Drogres can be isolated and destroyed, and there are plenty of units that can deal with those chaos warriors.

Also keep in mind that your BSB loses his enchanted shield in combat (halberd). Might be better off with the dragonhelm.
