So, I did some looking around and at this point, I'm just curious if anyone knows anything. I preordered the special edition version of the new Daemonkin codex, and while I'm not at all unhappy with the purchase...It seems kinda weird to me that the REGULAR edition is released on the 28th(I think) and it's not until the 11th that the special edition ships. I tried poking around to see if there were any included digital download or anything but as far as I can tell, shelling out for the spec ed starts off with the wonderful 'benefit' of getting your codex two weeks late.

Yeah, right? I was figuring there must be SOMETHING to that, like maybe the 'estimated shipping date' they showed before it was sold out was wrong or they were doing a digital download for people with the special edition(since that's what I've seen done with Spec Eds in the past with other games and systems) but as far as I can tell, it's just...late

THinking about it I consider that the special edition may contain a second book that doesn't get released until the middle of the following month?

Of what i know someone on another thread mentionned that because of strikes or chinese new year some deliveries will be late, since the printers for GW books are in China.

He said something like all of the North American shops will have the LE books only by 11 april, even GW store.

made a deal with my FLGS personnaly i've bough the regular coex so that i can read it and when my LE book comes he gives me a refund on it.

I know that since 2 or 3 weeks ago they've changed the way they deliver LE products, they are shipped the day the normal products are available in stores, wich is kinda bollocks, i mean you pay something 3 times the price of the regular one and you get it after everyone...

Mine arrived at a GW store in southern California yesterday, even though it said April 11 when I ordered it.

GW has had a hard time with understanding pre orders for the last decade. Where pre ordering tends to get you the book after the release.

And even though it says the 11th, I was at GW yesterday and fed ex showed up with it along with their late white dwarfs.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

Hmm. Well, according to the GW website my thing hasn't shipped YET, though I am having it sent to ME and not to my local store
