What to use as a base for DP Angron.
He was bigger than a warhound Titan so it has to be 12 inches tall. It also has to be hunched, and built like a humanoid gorilla in terms of sheer muscle.
I can have my girlfriend sculpt details and finer armor. All that matters is a good mean looking base.
Any ideas?

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." |

Bigger than a warhound? Where did you get that from?
The forgeword Prince of khorne do is very nice. As is the new bloodthirster.
Angrath is nice and the only thing that comes close to the scale you are thinking.
I've seen the lotr balrog used , but perhaps a bit small.
Other options are the slaughter brute and the ultraforge war daemon. Automatically Appended Next Post: For example

Although I think the sheer number of parts on the new BT kit would help.

I use the Ultraforge Greater War Demon and compared it side by side with the new BT kit. They are both about the same height, but given that the GW version is outstretched and the UltraForge version is crouched low, the scale for the Greater War Demon is closer to the FW Bloodthirster than the GW one. Put it on an oval 1" trophy base, and it becomes roughly the same height of the FW Bloodthirster.

Well all descriptions of Daemon Angron put him as being taller than a Warhound Titan. The novel that details the first war for Armageddon does. Angron's posse of 12 of the strongest bloodthirsters dies almost immediately leaving him to kill the sweeping majority of the Grey Knights by himself. Automatically Appended Next Post: I'm thinking of more obscure demon figures.
McFarlane doesn't have anything similar to what I'm looking for.
I've Considered using an Leatherback model and modifying it but they don't make one big enough.

You're almost certainly looking at toys, there's few, if any, minis that would be of an appropriate size, unless you look at some 75mm models that are scaled to look as large against 75mm infantry scale models in the same way as 40K GDs are to 30mm. Automatically Appended Next Post: Pegaso or Andrea may be worth a look, but I don't think they make anything big enough.

Yeah I actually have that.
Problem is it not hunched over enough and all attempts to reset its legs in an unnatural way end up bad.
It's also a little bit big. The size of a Warlord Titan or 60 meters.

Technically a Warlord Titan is bigger than a Warhound Titan so that criteria is covered... Does it say how much bigger he is?

It says a bit taller. Not that huge.
It could be done though. Does anyone know an ABSURDLY strong plastic glue I could reset the legs with?

I have no idea where you're getting the idea that he's bigger than a Warhound.
This image shows that he's roughly the size of a standard Bloodthirster, judging from the Marine he's holding.

Actually, now you mention it..
A very old source, but those are 28mm bases and a Space Marine in Epic is ~5mm

The novel describing the first war for Armageddon.
Stronger Bloodthirsters are already the size of Warhounds and 12 of the strongest died after killing like 20-35 of the most powerful Grey Knights leaving Angron by himself to kill the other 50+.
He's magnitudes stronger.

Where exactly are you seeing that blood thirsters are the size of warhounds?
Angrath the unbound is perhaps the biggest and baddest BT we have rules for and can be included in Angrons retinue of thirsters for apocalypse.
Even he is not as big as a warhound!

http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Bloodthirster
The size of a scout titan.
Oh and "Mark of the Xenos" pg 100.
There's also a Bloodthirster in Daemon World who gets tired of playing fair and grows to the size of a planet to body slam the planet that pissed him off.
So that's 3 Sources. I can find more.

I think its all a case of artistic license. Powerful things being described as big and what have you,.
This is of course fine for daemon princes, who can change their size as they want.
(there was a novel.. i think it was daemon world, where a prince was contemplating, that whilst he could make himself the size of a mountain, he would just get shot more , so it wasn't worth it.)
