What size thickness of tray would accommodate 28mm 40k minis?

Specifically, Tau suits and warriors.

The specs I am looking at are:

1x 1.5 inch (38 mm) thick tray with 24x 2 x 1 inch (50 x 25 mm) cut outs, 4x 2 x 1 1/4 inch (50 x 32mm) cut outs and 2x 2 x 2 1/4 inch (50 x 57 mm) cut outs.
1x 2 inch (50 mm) thick tray with 21x 1 3/4 x 1 1/4 inch (44 x 32 mm), 8x 2 x 1 1/4 inch (50 x 32 mm) cut outs and 1x 2 3/4 x 1 1/4 inch (70 x 32 mm) cut out.

are the suits standing up? or on their backs?

What poses are the arms in? are the weapons magnitized, or do they stick straight out?

I have many battlefoam trays, and I find NOTHING beats sticking a ruler up to your mini...

Now, I have firewarriors standing up in a tray, this being my favorite troop tray:

It holds almost anything - short guns, longer guns, kroot, vespid, kroot hounds, etc. Love this tray.

For my crisis suits, I made a custom tray for them, all standing up. My guys are magnitized so it works out well.

I was at work so couldn't do any measuring.

However, I got it anyways.. Figure for 30$ if I needed to adjist the openings or get a different tray or two, I am still money ahead (regular price was 65$).
