For an ITC tournament, looking for critiques.
I have a base list of 1450 points, and 400 points left to plug in one of two options. I'll give the core first, and then the options.

Combined Arms Detachmment
HQ
Libby, PML3 - 135 (Warlord)
Libby, PML3, DLD - 160
TROOPS
GKSS, 5x - 110
GKSS, 5x, incinerator - 115
HEAVY
NDK, Incin, Psycan, Sword, Teleport - 225
NDK, Incin, Psycan, Sword, Teleport - 225
NDK, Psilen, Psycan, Sword, Teleport - 235
LOW
Draigo -245

Now the options. Each option provides the unit Draigo and Libby(s) will escort.
1) Allied Detachment of Space Marines, with PML2 Libby, 3 Grav Cents, and some Scouts. 400pts
2) 5 Paladins, 2psycans, Apothecary, Brotherhood Banner, mix of melee weapons. 390pts

The Centurions are definitely more shooty, against all sorts of targets. Grav shreds vehicles and elite units, while hurricanes mow down shmucks. However, this unit would be very vulnerable to tarpitting, thus nerfing the grav. They MIGHT be more survivable, if the SM Libby gets Life Leech and feeds wounds back to Draigo. More PMLs means more casting dice, which is always good. In addition, the SM Libby, if he gets Iron Arm and/or Warp Speed, could break off and tackle a beastie on his own, or just raise the avg tough of the unit back up to 5.

The Paladins do pack a shooting punch, with 8 Psycannon shots each turn. They would have FNP, which is nice, and multiwound models allow for more survivability each shooting phase (by shuffling wounded models around the pack). They would do very well in melee, especially compared to the Cents.

My vote is for cents, they can dish out more hurt. Besidex T4 two wound models don't go far.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Centurions are far better. Psycannons are significantly overrated, and don't even come close to approaching the firepower of Centurions. And, you can't tarpit Draigo. Gate of Infinity lets you teleport out of assault.

I am the Hammer. I am the right hand of my Emperor. I am the tip of His spear, I am the gauntlet about His fist. I am the woes of daemonkind. I am the Hammer.
