Any comments/critiques??

Curious as to the setup of your list.

Is stern to go with the crusader squad for 2+ invulnerable saves and hammer hand? That squad should murder most things they get into cc with. However I would pull 2 of the priests and add a psyker which leaves you 40 points available to spend elsewhere. (Maybe more dca? melta guns acolytes for cracking transports and assault the squish inside!)

Purifier squad in a drop pod is a fun tactic. I find cleansing flame usually burns my flamers out of range though unless targeting a strong unit.

.

I've done a similar list without the blood angels and more inquisition heavy using crowe with the dca/crusader squad for fun.

Beware of lists that have dedicated anti av14 as it will out a big dent in the plans. But I think this would be fun. Losing our hamstringing 700 points of your list hurts. Use dk for cover saves if need be.

If my land raider survives turn 1 then it is a lot of hurt.

Balance of crusaders to DCA is off. 3-4 Crusaders and 5-6 DCA would be better.

Stern, the Librarian and the inquisitor all join the crusader squad. Stern gives the crusaders 2++, hands out hammer hand to everyone. I have 3 priests to makes sure that I get the reroll saves. 7 leadership makes it hard to do with just one. With having 3, I have a 75% chance to get it with the second one, and then I can use the third for rerollable wounds... Or STR 5 smash (at initiative AP2, mostly) should I need it.

I thought about including more assassins over crusaders, but I want to be able to use my crusaders to protect the DCA and inquisitor from shooting attacks after close combat's / failed chargers, and I don't think I could successfully do that with only 3 or 4 crusaders. The extra attack from having an assassin is nice, and the str 4 over str 3 is really nice, but with hammerhand and rad grenades, more often than not it's not going to make a difference in CC.

Why would you suggest having 3 crusaders and 7 DCA's?

I usually take a DCA:Crusader mix of 1:1. You could make it 2:3 in your case, but you still want a lot of Cultists to churn out wounds. The DCA ball works because it doesn't get tied down, and to do that you need lots of Cultists.

I like Stern in there, although if you took a Libby with the DLD, you'd have 4 rolls to get Sanctuary and HH, and it'd be cheaper, and you'd have the DLD rerolls.

GK Librarian (Sanctic) and BA Librarian (Divination) attached to the Grey Knight Terminators and Deep Striking. The GK Librarian should get Gate of Infinity for mobility, and Sanctuary for +1 to their Invulnerable Saves. The BA Librarian gives them Prescience as a Primaris, and has the chance of getting Forewarning which would stack with Sanctuary to give the Terminators a 3++ Invulnerable Save.

The Dreadknights can Deep Strike in, or deploy and Shunt in. either way has advantages and disadvantages.

Each Inquisitor will attach to his Warband, and embark on one of the Blood Angels’ Fast Attack Drop Pods. The Inquisitors can cast Hammerhand on their units to buff their offensive abilities, while the Ministorum Priests can make their Crusaders’ 3++ Invulnerable Saves re-rollable.

The Scout Squads Infiltrate

The Spartan Assault Tank lays down heavy fire.

And there’s 129 points for other upgrades or possibly another unit.

That would be fun outside of ITC, but ITC only allows 3 detachments, and no duplicates.

I thought about taking the DLD Libby instead of Stern, but I feel the 60 points are worth getting the powers I want guaranteed instead of missing one or both of them randomly.

Each independent character brings as many attacks as a cultist does, with the same strength and better survivability. I could possibly see myself going to 3 assassins and 6 crusaders, but I wouldn't want to push it much further than that. Also note that rad grenades work when I get charged, too, even if already locked in combat. So no matter what happens, they are getting -1 toughness to make it easier to chew through them.

Charging a wraithknight? My DCA's and IC's are wounding it on 5's in the first round of combat. Charging a Dreadknight? Wounding it on 3's. Charging marines? ID.

Another reason I'm so for having an abundance of crusaders is when I get into combat vs str D, I'm throwing those wounds on crusaders... If they roll a couple sixes, I still want to have enough crusaders left to cover for everyone else.

The spartan assault tank is a forge world tank. It has quad lascannon sponsons, 5 hp, and 25 transport capacity, amongst other useful upgrades.

Why use two Inquisitorial Detachments? You can combine them into one single Det since you can have 2 HQ and 3 Elites.

If you combine the Inquisitorial Detachments into one Det, then you still meet the ITC requirements/limitations.

Got to play this list today. Played the ITC Scouring/Modified Maelstrom mission.

I won 11-0. The maelstrom mission were close. I only won maelstrom by 1, which is usually what I expect when I'm playing with so few units. I won the primary by quite a bit, between having both objective threes and his list having a ton of dead fast attacks.

I played against necron decurion, he had 3 bikes, and a double wraith reanimation protocols detachment (not itc legal, but I didn't care). One dreadknight spent most of the game tied up by a unit of wraiths and died on turn 4 or 5, despite the fact that I killed both his spiders by turn 2.

Having as many crusaders as I did worked out pretty well for me. Even after I pulled three crusaders off the board finally, I still felt in control of the close combats.

The only thing that I ever get on the fence about is droppoding the purifiers. They do decent work on turn one, sometimes. But usually they just die. I'm considering swapping blood angels out for vanilla marines, and grabbing loth by dropping the drop pod and purifiers. Thoughts?
