Is this possible?

I got rid of a lot of my previous big armies and and down to a handful of Chaos Crimson Slaughter and was wondering if it would be too far out to ally them with the new Skitarii.. like, a traitor Magos or Inquisitor are involved. ( I also have the old limited edition model of Inquisitor Gideon Lorr that I wanted to utilize somehow, maybe as a traitor ).

What are your thoughts Dakka? I'd like to get the new Skitarii but with an interesting ally, hopefully with the ones I already own, lol.

Fluff-wide, totally. Over half of the mechanicus turned traitor during the heresy. It's called the dark mechanicus.

Gamewise, certzinly anything goes. They're come the apocalypse so you need to respect the restrictions (not being able to deploy within 12" for example). The armies wouldn't be able to interact with each other (like casting psychic buffs and the sort

Alternatively, and this is what I do, you can ask your local group to cut you some slack and let you play them as battle brothers. There's not TOO much to be gained from it in my honest opinion, but it makes deployment a bit easier.

You don't have to be happy when you lose, just don't make winning the condition of your happiness.

What about transports.. could the Crimson Slaughter load up some Sicarians in a Rhino if they wanted? ( I'm not up-to-date on 7th edition, I've been out of the game a few years )

No. without house ruling, mechanicus and chaos units cannot share vehicles, their alliance level is come the apocalypse.
