Found pictures of a forgeworld display board where they have a bunch of containers. I really like them and I''m wondering if they're all custom build or if there is at least some base these are built upon.
I'm hoping they're mostly ready for sale, but something is telling that won't be the case.

They have been around for quite some time. I saw them on a display board several years ago at one of the games days.
They might be released as scenery but FW pulled an awful lot of its scenery stock offline years ago and never replaced it.

There are a lot of terrain companies that make shipping containers. Those actually look like some I saw a few years ago. I think they were made out of MDF board or something. Can't remember what the company was.

Their scenery has always been epic sauce, but waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy over priced. Everytime I see the zone mortalis boards or the industrial boards, I want to get them but then get slapped straight back to reality when I see the price.

From what I gather, they were meant to be cargo containers for a planned Thunderhawk Transport of some description.

I'm tempted to e-mail Forgeworld asking for them to put them up for general sale. If enough people do it, I'm sure they'll be sold, even if for their Zone Mortalis sets...

Edit: And I e-mail them. Doubt they'll go up for sale on one request though...

Well, the response wasn't what I was hoping for lol. Basically all they said was they were indeed custom made and that they look pretty cool lol.

There are lots of people making sci-fi shipping containers for Infinity.

I ended up getting some of these:
