How did 40k and my little pony clash,I mean who on earth made the connection between the two,why do 40k fans have beef with almost everyother fandom, especially fellow lovers of the imperium of man or chaos.Could someone clarify.

Any fandom has its hatedom as well. MLP and 40K have very, very different philosophies, so they kinda look like polar opposites at first, and some wargamers feel the need to vehemently attack anything that doesn't suffer from testosterone poisoning.

That said, most wargamers don't really care - as a group, we're more open-minded than the forums make apparent. A lot of people enjoy both, and the juxtaposition of cute pastel ponies espousing friendship in the ridiculous grimdark world of 40K is highly amusing to a mind that appreciates a certain kind of humour.

Can MLP make 40k 20% cooler?

Aelyn pretty much nailed it.
I myself really love the clash between the happy go "perfect" world of mlp and the grim dark that is 40k.

Also the internet has a tendency to make things seem bigger ("worse") then they really are. For every person voicing their hate for something just remember that the majority goes, "meh" and ignores it.

Oh, okay - I stay away from 4chan. Sounds like I'm not missing much

For many, many years, I've stayed away from forums (because it would have taken too much time away from hobby lol). Really, only recently, since I've had more spare time I've been goofing off more on the interwebs.

MLap is an abomination that should only be enjoyed by 6 year old girls (and younger). Having a bunch of pansy ass horses spewing rainbows of friendship infesting the 41st millennium is worse than having papa Nurgle judge a beauty contest. Just...feth no. feth no.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

It is an "exquisite" pain the MLP and 40k.
Let us embrace it all to properly enjoy the grimdark.
I shall go down the rabbit hole now, it will not be pretty.

Ouch, that left a mark.
It is just so wrong.

Well it could be worse, the Hello Kitty Crossover.

Put simply.
Age and demographic intersecting.
Alot of gamers do tend to be around the 18-24 bracket. Quite a few, they are the ones that are also most likely to have disposable income and time. bronies, especially if they are in college, in the bracket aswell.
And also, Demographic. 40k, despite being a physical game, its community exists on the internet, same with mlp.
Also, if you are a geeks. Both 40kers and MLP tend to be part of geekdom, they intersect alot.
Think also, how much do anime and 40k cross? Same thing.

There is nothing wrong with it, its normal people enjoying what they love.
One quote I got told by someone once "We all live in our own world, we get to decide what goes into this world, we have control over what we consume, so if you dont like something, ignore it and pretend like it never existed"

I've no idea why fandoms feel the need to ram what they are fans of down other's throats and shove it into every available crevice of any other fandom they happen to come across, but that just seems to be how some people work.

That's alright, I don't understand how a TV show about friendship and Magic rainbows designed for 4 year old girls became a thing for creepy 18-40 year old men, but hey. Weird people happen every day.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Well I mean our fanstastic manly MACHO, TESTOSTERONE-INDUCING, ARRGGHH!! plastic toys are so MANLY, ARRGGHH!! that we must insult those girly push dolls to show other that we are UBER-MACHO-MANLY, ARRGGHH!

*cough*, While it is true that the setting of 40K and MLP (grimdark and magical chaotic friendship don't mix) are so drastically different that mixing the two should never work, if going by such logic we would never clashed because neither side would be interested in another. But this is the internet, and we just love drama.

I fully accept that image, and hoped somebody would post it. Ponies in 40k are an abomination that need to be stamped out.

I agree. It's to the point where you can't really search 'MLP' on anything without finding some porn about it or something. It is creepy.

I tolerate the show. I have seen a few episodes. I cannot fathom how adult men become obsessed with it. But to each there own and that's all good.

But trying to shoe horn that heresy into EVERYTHING is what ticks me off.

At one point I considered acquiring the MLP toys and mounting their charred/mutilated/desecrated corpses all over a Baneblade or some other giant tank as trophies. But the backlash would have been apocalyptic and I am the better man, so I did not.

Except when it's Star Wars and Star Trek, or Aliens and Predator.

eg: The NCC-1701D were to come up against the Death Star, which would win?

or: Alien vs. Predator... FIGHT!

I guess i am old but when i was a kid my little pony was a little girls cartoon. Now my son's friend who is around age 21 said he watches a new my little pony that apparently has a different tone to it than the early cartoons that was for little girls.... i am guessing simular to some other cartoon shows that are out there now more for young adults i guess... however, to me i still view ponies cartoons as the old school for little girls and personally i think young men need to learn how to be "men" and not girls.. part of what is wrong with the world today in my opinion.

If people want to play with ponies fine. It wont happen in a game against me. Not just for the fact that its ponies, but it really does not interest me nor do i find it funny to play with models that are not part of the 40k universe. I also dont think the topic along with other topics out there these days need to be pounded down people's throats to try to "sway" them somehow to think differently... people that want to use ponies in their games great... not me and its that simple.

Finally, if you really want to play ponies in Sci Fi game Star Trek or Star Wars would be a better fit than grimdark of 40k , especially since Disney took over Star Wars (I have a bad feeling about that...lol)

I can testify that I do not care. Like, really. At all. If someone made some nice MLP conversions for 40k, I might be interested in the conversion aspect of it, but seriously uninterested by the show. I mean, I tried watching a full episode on YouTube and it left me completely indifferent.

Kaeloo is the kid show I am into. It features about as many chainsaws and bazookas that your average 40k army, along with being just as cute .

That is terrible. For you, what is wrong for the world is that people are not enough pressured into specific roles because of what their genitals? That almost makes me want to watch MLP just to contradict you. Almost, because the show was really too bland . I certainly do not want to be a “man” as you define it.

Cartoons in general are getting a getting better, preschool stuff not withstanding
In general, I have a simple question, if this was a bunch of girls who are 21 or so obsessed with transformers, would we have a problem with it?

Some people would, but way less, asthere is some extra scorn people have for “girlie” stuff. Because remember, women are inferior or something .

Ding ding ding. Think about it, gay men are reviled more than lesbians. Because a lesbian is climbing her way up, bUT a guy guy is doing the opposite, he is making himself inferior.
Girl stuff is inferior, because it is girl stuff.
