Heldrakes, Autocannon-Havocs, or Hell Talons if you can get them.

Welcome Raven! Hadesdrakes sound good in theory.

I have a CSM army myself, it doesn't have any fliers. Looking at your flag, I'll be in Greece again soon if you want something without fliers to beat up on?

The Forgefiend is an expensive, but effective and durable option. AA is more about having multiple threats/sources of fire. Havocs/Forgefiend don't do well alone, but pair up with a Heldrake and they become more reliable.

Apart from fortifications, hell blades are pretty nice due to how cheap they are. But other flyers are good too.

To be completely honest, CSM simply do not have a truly reliable anti-air option.

Heldrakes are fine... but they're hardly any kind of guarantee. Vector strike does 1D3 F7 AP2 hits. You will probably do some damage (perhaps serious damage with a pair of lucky rolls) against light flyers but things like stormravens are likely to laugh you off.

Havocs with autocannons and Forgefiends would be pretty decent if you could throw some Prescience around... but you can't, unless daemon allies.

Forgeworld options, as usually, save the day. If they're accepted by your local meta. And if you can afford them.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.
