Hey guys. Decided to bust out my fantasy army while 8th edition is still happening. I love theme armies and usually get punished for it, but I'd like to make my list as strong as possible. This is what I've been running with minor success:

Keeper lvl 4 shadow 1 greater gift 2 lessers 580

Herald of Slaanesh lvl 1 Slaanesh BSB locus of beguilement 210

Herald of Slaanesh lvl 1 Slaanesh 125

29 Daemonettes FC 349

29 Daemonettes Champion + Musician 339

3x Fiends of Slaanesh 195

2x Soulgrinder MoS Phlegm Bombardment 600

2398/2400

Any suggestions on making my list stronger?

Double Grinder DoS! Good stuff.

Few things:
*No Lore of Slaanesh on the Keeper? Way more interesting than the boring old Lore of Shadow, though I appreciate being able to reach out and kill somebody (plus mess with their movement) rather than hex-to-death or mindrazor-ftw. I imagine that the jury's out about which is stronger.
*Of course you'd still keep Shadow on the heralds, at the least for Miasma
*I'd rather standard + musician on that second daemonette block. Is the champ there to protect a herald from solo-charging characters?
*How much do you get out of the grinders' bombardments? I could see two getting the lead out. They can move 8" + shoot, right? Whenever I think of giving my grinder bombardment I keep thinking that means it'll stand still, which always seems sad to me for such a fast beasty ...

If the bombardments go away then we'll have some points to work with, in which case I'd likely suggest some furies for chaff duty.

Well, I feel like without the hexes from shadow, my daemonettes can't really kill anything. When I can up their lower enemy toughness and strength and WS and all that stuff, they can kill anything and live to tell about it. I could definitely drop the bombardments for 100 points. I'd probably add a SB to the other daemonette group, leaving 92 points to play with. Adding furies will give me 32 points left, 22 if i give them MoS. What should I do with those?

Remember when I asked why you have that champ and not a standard first? Well I just read what Locus of Beguilement does!

On Shadow, I guess I'm still suffering from the middle three years of 8E where the only lore you ever saw was Shadow. You make fair points on its effectiveness, and you did want an effective-but-themed army. Slaanesh is better at reaching out and hurting things .... but you have invested quite a bit in those Daemonettes, so why not get some mileage from them?

As for dropping the bombardments, I'd say grab that standard, 5x Slaanesh Furies, then probably bump both Daemonette packs to 30. Because it evens out the points, evens out units, and like you said, you're tooling to help make them work, so more's better.

EDITWhoa, whoa, whoa. Do your SG not have daemonbone claws? That's what you spend those 22 points on!

Um. If you're looking for the strongest list you can get...doesn't mono-Slaanesh basically mean going for the Cacobomb?

I'd not go for the locus of beguilement but for ASF. If your hearalds in a challenge it's not where it's being most effective. You can take on most champions but an actual hero or lord outfitted for combat will tear them up. Plus ASF is cheaper.
