I trying to create a list on Army Builder of an Eldar Battlehost with Eldar allies. I'm new to AB so I'm probably making a pretty simple mistake. Here is the jest of the list

BattleHost
-Guardian Battlehost
-Aspect Host
-Avatar (Living Legends)

Allied Force
-Farseer
-Spiritseer
-Rangers
-Rangers

Once I put in the Battlehost and add in the three formations the Spiritseer and Farseer options disappear from the list of options. When I try to add an Eldar allied force nothing changes. How do you get around this?

Tried building the Combined Detachment of the Spiritseer, Farseer, and Rangers first and then building the Warhost. I was able to do it but I get an error on AB stating the Farseer and Spiritseer must be removed. Is this not a legal way to build the list?

I used to use AB, but the level of support in recent years for the datafiles has become appalling, with entirely missing armies, units, and rules that glitched. I highly suggest either building manually using your Codex, or using another app. It sounds to me as if you don't own a copy of your 'dex, if you don't know what's legal and what's not...

I own the codex, I'm new to this edition of the rules and haven't played the game since they started introducing detachments and formations. Whenever I choose the Warhost option the Farseer and Spiritseer are removed as choices to include in the army because they don't have a stand alone formation like the Avatar. And when I try to ad an allied force of Eldar nothing in the list of unit options changes. So I wasn't sure if it was something in the base rules that does this or if there was just a problem with AB.

There's a tickbox in the settings to show characters.
Try that.
Apart from that, there are still problems with the C:ECW army in AB.
