Subject: [54 wounds, 5 warscrolls] -Chaos - Greater Daemon Horde

So, I really like to play extremely small elite fores, because I love to paint all of my minis lovingly. So the first thing I thought of when I saw the AoS rules was the greater daemon horde. Yeah, I just paint up the most awesome minis in the range (and probably convert them extensively too).
I'm not repeating minis here (so just one bloodthirster) simply because I don't need to paint the same guy several times:
1- Kairos Fateweaver
1- Lord of Change
1- Bloodthirster (which one should I take?)
1- Great Unclean One
1- Keeper of Secrets
So, the big question I have for this list is this: Can I play this without being a total douche?
I mean, I'm totally taking the most compact force I can with all of the biggest bonecrushers around (and I haven't even gotten into the End Times big'uns, which is probably how this force will expand).
If my opponent has only a few minis on the table, he'll still likely outnumber me, and I'll definitely overpower him- but what size forces are people going to take? How large a force would one need to actually take on five greater daemons?
A lot of people on a lot of threads seem to think that the best way to balance this game is to refuse to play against people who do things that you don't like, and that's not a fun way to balance for anyone.
What does everyone think?

The [] has been used to denote wounds total in this forum for AoS. Can you edit the title to have the wounds total? It'll give us a better idea of what a similar list would be and then we can determine if you're a douche or not

Just counted them up, and there are 54 wounds here.

Okay, using other lists around the same points from this forum, there's a Skaven one and a Bretonnian one that I can see.
Pretty sure this list would stomp the Bretonnian one (Bretonnians could only kill 1-2 of the beasties before being ground out) but I think the Skaven list would be a fair fight due to the power of shooting.
So, in general, if your opponent is bringing powerful things, the fight should be fair. If he's bringing small units of normal infantry, not so much. Totally eyeballing it here but 30 High Elf spearmen could probably kill a Bloodthirster, as could 15 Pheonix Guard - so that's the unit levels you should be asking your opponent to bring

Id play it with my dwarfs
ungrim
dragon slayer
2x10 slayers 3 cannon
anvil
a unit of long beards x20
bugman and rangers x30.
i think it would be a blast im not sure of the old points for greaters but the dwarfs are about 1500 in old book, either way it would be fun.

Ok, so maybe this is playable after all.
While I was thinking about it, I got the idea that someone could make an army of giants.
Giants are definitely not the most powerful of big guys (even for their wound totals) but the idea of a bunch of giants on a rampage just seems like fun.

I don't think this is at all unplayable - since no model is immune to another model's attacks, even a regiment of chaff can theoretically take down a greater daemon, and can strike first if you manage your tactics right, and 50-ish wounds is not unreasonable. In addition, plenty of opponents have special abilities versus monsters (see Dwarf Slayers, as mentioned), and they'll be disproportionately good when that's all you have.
The fact that daemons get weaker as they take wounds is a balancing factor, too.
I would definitely reach for the Bloodthirster with the great axe - your biggest weakness with an army of monsters is fighting hordes, and creating the space to maneuver with your big bases - the Outrageous Carnage splash damage effect should help a lot with that.
From a narrative perspective, I would rather not take Kairos Fateweaver and a Lord Of Change - since that unbalances you a bit towards Tzeench. Possibly take Be'Lakor instead of one of them?
You'll almost certainly be playing with a Sudden Death victory objective, so should put some thought into what you're going to choose.

I get what you're saying about tzeentch, but... I like tzeentch.
What I could do is play with Be'Lakor and summon a Lord of Change with Kairos (that pick a number is great for summoning).
I figured on eyeballing the objectives for the first couple of games, and getting a feel for what this force is good at.
Ejay's list seems like it would be ideal for assassination (5D6 mortal wounds is the sort of thing that ends the game the first turn you have line of sight).
For some reason, I like the idea of an enemy trying to kill off my whole force by turn 6. But I worry that the best way for me to play then would be to have cowardly daemons hiding in the corners of the table (and that's just not cool).
