It is with much sadness that we are going to have to postpone this years Warlord Games Day until a later date.

Apologies to all affected for the inconvenience this will cause, it isn’t a decision we have taken lightly. We are unable to use the main hall until some major repair works are carried out on the roof – in short we don’t want the building falling down round our ears and at such late notice we’ve been unable to find a suitable alternative venue.

We are very proud of the format of the Games Day with the Seminars, Games, Demos, Traders, Factory tours and Studio staff all on hand to talk to one on one. So, to continue with this we are going to put the date back to later in the year and still run the all-singing all-dancing event we all love. As soon as the repairs have been completed and signed off we will be given a new date and will of course pass it on to all of you as soon as we have it.

What does that mean for those of you that already have tickets?

There are a couple of options for you. You can either hold your place until we announce the later date or contact us at info@warlordgames.com for a full refund.

“But I’ve taken time off and made plans to travel up to Nottingham that weekend!”

We understand that some of you will have been planning this weekend for quite a while. To make sure you aren’t left with nothing to do we are arranging a free-to-attend gaming day at a local events venue with lots of participation games being run as well as a chance to talk to lots of Warlord staff and buy from the main range of products – including some special deals we will put on for those of you that make the trip.

Details of this will be finalised in the next few days and we will circulate that too.

Finally, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for your support we receive for these Games Days. It is worth all the effort and I hope you’ll agree we would like them to continue for the foreseeable future!

Hopefully this means I can actually make it this year after all. I'm glad they are still trying to cater for people going too. It would be all too easy to just cancel it and move on.

I asked about this today; when doing repairs on the ballroom they found the main support structures were in a dangerously bad condition so the building is closed until it can be repaired. All events, including weddings, have been cancelled in the mea time. They plan to rebook as soon as possible, but are currently working on the open gaming day up the road.
