Hello Dakka,

Has anyone been experiencing problems while viewing BoLS pages on their Android phone? I cannot open an article without the browser routing to an unverified virus warning. I cannot tell if phone is infected or if these are just phishing pages.

Please post if you have any experience with this. I will be bringing my phone to the local Verizon store to see if there are any major issues and I will report back then.

BoLS sees its share of bad ads from time to time that triggers the alerts.

Had this problem for about two weeks on my android tablet, but not on my pc strangely.

Okay, for what it's worth, the Verizon rep. says it is adware on the website. So careful BoLS readers!

oh haha I get it now. Nope, I was being serious.

I have been getting that on my tablet on BOLS. Glad it isn't just me.

I have never got that before, but I am not surprised.

There have been several people on BOLS reporting a similar issue with their phones. There are so many ads on their site now it is hard to tell where it is coming from but in the last week I have had two attempted malware attacks on my laptop while visiting BOLS. My IPAD keeps crashing on BOLS due to a "web page error" and at this point am limiting my visits to site.

I get the same issues visiting the Lexicanum on my Android phone. Seems anyone running those ads on the sidebars will be generating spambot alerts up the whazoo

I've always had problems with their site on my iPhone, and it's just another reason for me not to bother with it.

I've completely stopped visiting bell of lost souls. The ads were just getting too annoying, to the point where it was virtually impossible to visit it on a mobile device. I tried to provide feedback to bols to let them know about the visitor experience but no luck.

So since responding last, my mobile experience with BoLS has improved immensely. They must have figured out which ad was causing the problem. You should feel confident visiting the site again (content notwithstanding)
