I've got the 2 Space Wolf omnibus books and I enjoyed them a lot. They follow Ragnar Blackmane through from his initial induction into the Wolves.

I read the space marine battle novel 'the fang' I think it was called. I really dislike space wolves background and history and I still enjoyed that

Although it is arguable a Grey Knights novel, I think there's a strong case to be made that The Emperor's Gift (Aaron Dembski-Bowden) is one of the better Space Wolf novels out there. The Wolves really shine in one of their most heroic moments in the fluff, and in the hands of a lesser author the strong presence of Logan and Bjorn might steal the show from the ostensible protagonist.

Really worth the read.
