I'm looking for anything really. Like making your own character progression tables and secret/campaign objectives. Veterancy, maps....anything.
First time trying to make something like this, so I was wondering if there is some kind website or so that has a compendium of this stuff.
Maybe even an interactive thing like a dedicated campaign forumish thing. Or campaign maker.

I've not seen any interactive website for making campaigns, but there are plenty of examples out there for getting ideas on what to run or what to use.
One simple method is to use the planetary empires rules ( http://bloodofkittens.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Planetary-Empires-Rules.pdf ). I've used this as the basis for campaigns before and it works ok and adds a bit of complexity. You don't need the tiles to do it, you could make your own map or search for one on the web to use.
Another one which I have had fun running is the Vogen cityfight campaign from White Dwarf 271 and 272, the rules are really simple and it makes a nice change from standard 40k games.
Here are some other articles that I have found useful:
http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2014/05/forging-the-narrative-what-is-narrative-gaming.html

If this is your first campaign, I would say keep it simple with a handful of players you know will play. The worst thing about organising a campaign is when people keep dropping out or don't even bother to play. In the Vogen campaign, I had three people who eagerly signed up, then didn't play a single game in the campaign. The more complex the campaign, the more things can go wrong or the more people can get bored or confused. In my mind, the purpose of a campaign is to get you playing more games rather than being restricted by complex campaign rules or scenarios.
In the last campaign I ran, I acted as a sort of Dungeon Master, I played games in the campaign, but could not win it or make moves in it. This allowed me to do unusual things like make up specific scenarios and give the players secret objectives to carry out over the course of the campaign. As I wasn't a player in the campaign, there was no problem with balance or me gaining an unfair advantage.

The absolute best Campaign that my group played was from Badab War ( IA: Book 9). No leveling characters or anything, but a fun way to run a campaign.
You just had to keep track of wins for each side during each round.
You can get books 9 and 10 for cheap (old 5th edition rules) from FW: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Armour_Books/IMPERIAL-ARMOUR-VOLUMES-NINE-AND-TEN---THE-BADAB-WAR.html
While the rules are out of date, the campaign system and story are good.

Wouldn't playing that campaign basically force you to have players using the appropriate factions? Like the system is built around that no?

No. While the campaign is built for loyalist/separatist, the rules are basically Side A versus Side B. You could form your two teams however you wish.

Another FW book with some really good campaign rules is Horus Heresy IV: Conquest

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me." - Twin Peaks
"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks |

I got the first three books, but then they made the bundles. So I figured I'd wait this time around until books 4 through 6 are done.
