Hey guys! I decided I should put Dark Vengeance to use and convert it all to one chaos god. Seeing as I am... lacking.. in skill I obviously went with Nurgle! I only have four cultists painted and based and one marine painted, but I'm really enjoying it!

But before anything, let's set the mood!

Yay for painting termies! I really enjoyed this guy, and I personally think the eye is something I will be doing on my termies. Criticism is super welcome!

That inverted 4 is the symbol they painted on the doors of houses infected by the plague during the middle ages right ?

It's actually the symbol for the plague from dishonored but close enough! Also, yea you really cant go wrong with naglfar!

Hey hey hey! I did a quick conversion on the chest of the leader of the chaos cultists, nothin much, just a icon on nurgle. It made the wash stick out very nicely IMO. I also figured out that turning on flash makes the image more detailed. SO THAT'S NICE. If you want more detailed pics of anything just ask Also, anything I can do to make him more sexay?

Another cultist. Jesus there are ways too many of these guys!

Nice (well you know what I mean!) to see some Nurgly goodness. The Cultists are such great sculpts, and you are doing them real justice here. That putrid, yellowy green looks great, some good conversion work too.

Here's another cultists. I really like painting these guys. Loads of variety and chances to practice all sorts of stuff... flesh, cloaks, guns, ect.
And yes. He is standing on a fez.





His skin is a little darker IRL and I think it looks really nice!

So that's all the blood I got done. I'll be trying out different techniques for it on... stuff. I also got some base colors on four cultists. When they're done there'll only be FIVE LEFT!

Yup, that blood for he blood god certainly is an effective product. Especially gives the third guy's guys weapon a sinister look, you can tell he cracked some skulls with it !

I may, and it would probably be pretty fun, but I currently have the entire dark vengeance set (chaos and DA) and two tanks. So a lot to work on. I'd also use a different model and would have to look around for one.

Guys. I'm actually getting a lot done...
Here's the second cultist leader. I like this model but the mask is a bit off. If I can get my hands on another 20 of these guys I will deffers try out converting. In his case, he'll have a plague doctor mask and pistol.
All rambling aside, here he is:



I didn't like the cloth like mask most people give him. So I gave him a metal mask. Because he is so metal. \m/

Love the work dude. Great choice of colours. The GS looks especially 'Nurgley'!

nice work on the cultists fella. Love those guys, great wee simple yet very characterfull sculpts. That blood for the blood god paint is rad stuff eh?!!!! I found 'hitting' it on rather than painting it on gave a great effect - looked more like they'd been slaughtering folk than just dipping their weapons in the fallen!

Yea, I've started use the technique shown in the GW tutorial, because apparently GW makes tutorials. Huh. It's working though... I think.
