Never found a deal on ebay worth the time it took to get it.

I've had several trades on Dakka work out profitably for all involved, though.

This 'rescue raider' was a tenner from a local dog on a string type character - Was a destroyed GK LR crusader; now salvaged, and one of the finest examples in the ordo reductor's possession.


This MK2B 'rescue raider' was the best £30 i ever spent on eBay - it ended up as two different mechanicum LR variants! This is the original hull all nicely sanctified.

Just grabbed a $20 Trygon that's very well painted, and if you don't include the shipping cost, I have gotten Huron Blackheart, a Sorcerer and Dante each for a penny. Shipping was $8 each from China, but when the item is a penny... Who the feth cares.

Beautifully converted Blood Angels Librarian with Death Mask, Wings, custom Psychic Hood, painted for about... $10.

And I consider it a great buy but I doubt many others would, but a pair of 3rd Edition Tyrant Guard, never painted and already assembled for $15.

I love shopping on ebay. Even if it's just to buy things I'm too lazy to build/paint/convert myself.

Best value was probably full Dark Vengeance new on sprue minus a couple of bikes. Paid $40 vs the $140 retail, and I got about a dozen paints and a couple of GW brushes as well.

Off Craigslist I found somebody selling a box of Ork Boyz (16 count packaging), Kroot box, single Crisis Suit box, box of Necron Warriors, and a 16 count Gaunt box (makes half terma, half horma). All the boxes where unopened and still shrinked wrapped (bit old from setting in a basement or something for a year or two). Everything in total was $70 US.

Worked out well considering that my friend played Necrons, I play Orks and Tau, and I still have that gaunt box by my desk unopened (ill probably help my friend make flayed ones out of them with the parts once he starts up his crons again).

My friend snagged a used set of 4 crisis suits and 3 of the old broadsides (crisis suits with the metal upgrade parts) for me. They where busted up with broken feet and damaged heads, arms, etc but it was something like $40 on ebay for everything and all but 1 of them have been fully repaired and in good working order now. One crisis suit was too far gone so its now a WIP for my Mega Armored Big Mek.

I have well over 150 models...I bought 1 from Games Workshop the other 149 were bought from ebay....total cost on ebay £320 (before paints and glue) GWS retail, £950

I also (despite being rubbish) found 18 Metal Thousand Sons inc. 2 Sorcerers for £16 which was a total saving of well over £60 and an added bonus, I love metal models more than Resin.

I just got a wraith knight for 77$ a wraithlord 30$ and 6 Destroyers for 90$ and 15 wraithblades for 110$

150e for 1850 war convocation in a shady back alley swap

I paid about 150$ for space marine battle force, a box of dwarf warriors and a metal gyro copter, VC grave guard, ork biker mob, and about 10-15 individual warmachine characters. I got lucky and walked into a hobby town as they marked everything as clearance because they were getting rid of all their wargaming stuff.

As far as eBay goes nothing stands out to much, I got a NIB sentinel the other day for 12$ but I dont know if thats really a great deal.

I find that dealing with people through the swap shop I find much better deals, of course they are getting better deals with me then they would on eBay as well.

Not me, but a guy at my local store got a metal Avatar of Khaine about a year ago, for £1

37 Renegade IG for 30£ inc P&P. Not that great, but probably my best.

Yeah, it was a rough go for building (warped/cracked) but I rebuilt it.

My moms friend dumped me 3 boxes of warhammer. Including
A vintage Man of War boxed set (Since sold on), Warhammer Quest, and Warhammer Fantasy 2nd edition (with storm of magic). Including metal nagash, a treeman, and a bunch of unpainted elves, undead and goblins.

Lately I got a really well painted (I dont like to use the 'pro-painted' expression, but I think it fits there) Ahriman, for under 20$ canadian on ebay.

Combining two deals in roughly the same week when I decided I wanted to build a Bretonnian army.

Roughly 8500-9000 points of them for $90 and $110 respectively over the two deals.

The second deal alone, when I added all miniatures together at retail price saved me close to $1400.

Honestly I've just gotten bits on eBay so far. Most of my purchases have actually been from Games Workshop or Gifts For Geeks/Tabletop Tyrant.
Best one so far was Dreadnought stuff, I just wanted a Missile Launcher but I got one of those, two Twin-Linked Lascannons and two DCCWs, all for a solid price!
