HQ
Chaplain on a bike

Troop
10 man scouts with shotguns and heavy bolter

5 man scouts with shotguns landspeeder transpost.

10 man scouts snipers, rocket launcher

10 man scouts with ccw and bolt pistol heavy bolter

10 man scouts with ccw and bolt pistol heavy bolter

5 man scouts with boltguns. Lands peer transport.

Fast attack

5 man scouts bikers (would like ideas for upgrades.)

5 man scout bikers

Heavy

3 vindicators, or 3 devastator squads.(just to take care of the big stuff.)

I have been playing around with ideas for this army for sometime. I have finally got most of the scout models needed, I am looking to see what people think. Such as what you may add, or change. Also what heavy option would be better, I have many things to chose from.

Thanks.

What's left of Cadia

Have you thought about taking sergeant telion instead of a chaplain? It would be fluffier if you're running ultramarines

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

The scout bikers could use the AGLs. Well worth the points IMHO. Not so sure about the cluster mines. Combi-meltas on the sarges or just a melta bomb might also be useful.

You might want to look into formations. You trade the ObSec for some other neat abilities. Could be worth it.

Consider slapping some MMs on the LSSs. It’s a spot for some AV firepower that keeps with your theme.

I’d go with tanks, thematically. They are chapter level assets, and keeps the power armor out of your scout list. I’d run preds, rather then vindis, but both could work.

You might want to consider flyers for your AV firepower. I could see the scouts calling in an airstrike. You could also stow a squad in a stormraven to drop on an objective.

I would like to use him but most of the ccw and bolter are already green from a very old Dark angel army when they had a character scout. I was thinking of making it half Dark Angels and half Space wolves for the fluff. I just wish they had more characters for an army like this.

Nevelon
I was thinking meltas would be a nice up grade, for the storms. I was also using them for running up on objectives. I keep going back and forth on Vindicator or Predator. and i should have noted the melta bombs to the list, because scouts must always be armed with them.

thanks for the thoughts.

I don't really understand any of your configurations. HB in squafs with CCWs or Shotguns seems counter productive. Not putting those squads in LSSs seems a waste as is not taking CC upgrades on the Sergeant. Not taking weapon upgrades on the few LSSs you have is also bizarre. You want far more LSSs IMO.

Whilst the Snipers with missile launcher don't have camo cloaks so they can objective camp.

The bikers need the grenade launcher it is the main reason to take them.

As for what to support them with in terms of heavy firepower. Landspeeders would be the obvious choice for target saturation with the LSSs. Or just rock a load of boltguns run Sentinels of Terra and take Centurions as your support.

I am shooting for 2000 points but this is most likely not going to fit where I want it to. That is mostly why I am asking for people's thoughts.

I forgot the camp cloak up grade for the snipers. Thanks,

With the ccw squads the heavy bolters are not set in stone, just a point fell mostly, and just something to punch a hole in something it needed.
The sergaents, I don't do much in upgrades other then a power weapon in most cases, sometimes a plasma pistol, but more often then not I just do the melta bomb and that's it.
Landspeeders would be nice but don't really have enough for something like this. Where as I have a few to many tanks and heavy weapons models, that's why I was looking at tanks for the heavy support.

Thanks,
