Hello
So in my next game I'm going to run horde tactics against a Tau and Necron army.
Here's my list:
Kharn
Nurgle Daemon Prince with Black Mace
Nurgle Biker Lord with Murder Sword
20 Slanneshi Cultists
10 Nurgle Space Marines
10 Nurgle Space Marines
10 Nurgle Space Marines
10 Nurgle Space Marines
(All Plasmaguns)
10 Slanneshi Space Marines
10 Slanneshi Space Marines
(All Plasmaguns and FNP icon)
10 Plague Marines
10 Plague Marines
10 Plague Marines
(All Plasmaguns)
5 Nurgle Bikers
5 Nurgle Bikers
5 Nurgle Bikers
(All Meltagun)
10 Slanneshi Chaos Terminators with 10 Melta with FNP icon
This adds up to about 2500 points give or take and I think it's quite good, 138 Models.

What's left of Cadia

You can't have 2 HQ's who both have the Black Mace. You can only take 1 of each Relic, so drop the Black Mace off of the Biker Lord, the Demon Prince will find more use for it than the Lord in any case. Other than that the list seems good.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Ok, with that in mind the list seems pretty good to me, it would be hilarious to see that many marines running up the board.

It's just me and my good friend so we are cool about the formations and the sheer ludicrous-ness of having 100+ marines
Vs a Tau and Necron army
We are doing it for the banter

It would make an excellent battle report....

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies. |

It would be nice if you could take this legally. You could fill up elites with other stuff and take more plague marine troops since they're damn tough and will need to be to survive while footslogging. Take more cultists(or the same amount)+ a helbrute in a helcult. Then the cultist blobs+helbrute become an actual threat. Maybe even load out the brute with hvy weapons like twin missile to keep it cheap, or keep it stock to make it a true melee threat with rage str 10. I'd give the prince wings so he can get in close more easily, and maybe find points for an invuln save for the lord so he can tank woulds for bikers.
Just some small suggestions. i get you want a horde, that's awesome. But taking it legally would only reduce your numbers a bit and increase survivability by a great deal. Fill up those elites though, take a couple helbrutes or something. Or your heavies with some Oblits for heavy fire support. You're mostly missing anti-tank, which they'd be nice for.
