So I have been itching to get started with a Corsairs army for my Eldar (Void Dragons) and was wanting some opinions on some potential allies. Here's what it would look like with a broken down version of my Craftworlds army:

Eldar CAD:
Farseer - bike, spear
5 scatter bikes
5 rangers (cheap troop filler)
Low: WK - 2x heavy wraithcannons, 2x scatter lasers

Aspect Host:
5 dragons - exarch pike WS - holo fields, bright lances, cannon
5 dragons - exarch pike WS - holo fields, starcannons, cannon
5 dark reapers - exarch and all starshot

Corsairs (allied detachment):
Corsair Prince - lasblaster, force shield, jetpack
5 voidstorm - 2x fusion blasters, 3x shuriken catapults, haywire grenades
5 corsairs - 4x lasblasters, 1x EML
2x hornets - 2 pulse lasers each

Total is 1847

So it isn't the most optimized list, but I think it could be fun. I fast unit with an EML to hold a back field obj, while the void storm drop down and nuke something, the hornets will do serious work on their own and that will take some of the pressure off of the WK and the fire dragons zipping around to nuke other things. Thoughts?

While I would love some feedback, this is NOT supposed to be a super competitive list. Could I win 50% of the time with it? That'd be gravy for me. Cheers

Hi...Sorry where can I find the corsairs' rules for the 7th edition?

The rules aren't updated for 7th yet. Their rules are in IA:11 - doom of mymeara. Their vehicles (hornets...just, yes) are in IA: apoc (2013) as well as the warp hunter (kinda out of date gun, could be awesome but it need a retool).

BATREP:

I played this list against a buddy of mine running an eldar seer council list (on foot) he had:
seer council (2 farseers, 8 warlocks)
jain zar
2x10 dire avengers w/shield&spear exarch's
10 scorpions - exarch w/claw
falcon - cannon, EML
aspect host w/2x6 dragons, 5 dark reapers

He didn't roll fortune, which REALLY makes his seer council not as good. I shot him up pretty good on the first turn and he really couldn't recover. The hornets came in and smoked jain zar in 2 turns of pulse laser shooting, the EML unit dropped down, fired a missile and then died messily the next turn to jain zar's triskele. The voidstorms + prince dropped down to take an objective (which they did) and then kinda of just hung out until the end of the game. The WK was boss, but really just shooting with the scat bikes and dark reapers won the game. His list was for fun, and would have loved a WK ally, but he wanted to roll all his aspect warriors. If he'd gotten fortune...he would have had a solid chance.

I am going to play a couple of straight corsair proxy games monday to make sure they work how I want them to before I buy into FW prices...
