So that's 39 Hull Points at 1500 so I should never get tabled. 8 las cannons, 6 AssCanns, 4 Plasmas, 2 Autocannons and a demolisher provide decent firepower for mech and MCs. Whilst 90 bolter shots helps with hordes. It is not tabling much but is ObSec everywhere and won't ever get tabled so should walk any EW missions. What do you think?

its worthwhile to drop a few of the razorback weapons for a fwe weapons on the tac squads IMHO. You still get TLHB afterall.

I agree, drop all Assault cannons and get 6 Grav Guns, plus 3 combi-grav.

Grav guns on tac marines? Why on earth would I do that? What value is there in cheating to make my army worse?

Because taking 1530 points to a 1500 tournament is cheating. Tac Marines aren't relentless which makes grav a horrid choice on them.

Cool so I give up my twinlinked 4 shot all purpose weapons to gain a 9" range, 2 shot, 1 use gun (because if you're in 9" you're dead the following turn). Erm no thanks. Grav is horrid on tac marines.

Well I'm expecting to win a tournament with my list so no it doesn't reflect IH tactics. In fact it won't even be painted in traitor colours it will be in loyalist colours (aka blue with white upside down omegas on the shoulder pads).

This is an absolutely brutal list and I agree it shouldn't get tabled unless fighting very dedicated lists like sentry pylon spam or eldar bike spam.

That said I would think about deployment - all those bolters are well and good but if some long range anti tank pops your tactical squads' transports early on their going to be back field spectators. I worry also that if your vehicles do hit some serious anti tank, you'd nothing to hit enemy tanks with. Maybe put the lascanon razor backs on the tactical marines to spread your anti tank out a bit (i.e., not with your dev squads)?

Why would lascannon razorbacks onTacs make any difference on AT? For a start the tac and dev squads are identical so it makes no difference, also the Assault Cannon is better at AT than the Lascannon so I just don't understand your point at all?

I'm not convinced Pylon spam nor jetbike spam would table me. Remember 3 of the vehicles are AV13 and there's 57 space marine wounds too. You need a lot of antiMSU spam to even stand a chance. If the Stormsurge goes into the FBSC (as it should for the Riptide, thematically speaking) then Tau are the bigger worry. But we'll see on that front.

I think this is a competitive list, but I don't understand why you posted it? Every piece of constructive criticism you've been given, you've (mostly very rudely) thrown back in their faces? If you just want approval then go and play against some newcomers to the hobby, table them, and give yourself a pat on the back.
I'm fine with competitive lists, but you've been very rude to anyone who has proffered their opinion at your request.

Sorry if I come across rude, that is not my intention, blunt yes rude not so much. I've posted a competitive list to get advice on how to improve it. So if someone offers advice that weakens the list I'm not going to take it. If they offer advice that not thought out at all (like Grav on Tac marines) then I'm going to call them on it.

Maybe drop an asscannon or 2 for some melta guns on the tacticals The hvy bolters are still good fire support, and some extra heavy firepower would be nice. Short-range firepower but meltaguns are always a welcome addition.

I'm not a huge fun of how 1 use melta guns are in this list. I think I'll get more from 2-3 turn of AssCann fire than 1 of 2 meltas.

Ah, I see, you're not putting any weapons into the squads. In which case I just don't think you have enough AT.

If I had heavy weapons in the Devs I'd use Sentinel tactics. I average nearly 10 HPs a turn to AV13 so I've not got horrid AT. I don't really see a way to up it either. I can move it around, but not really add to it.

My only point would be how useful a solo techmarine is. IDK how much it would accomplish or if those points could be better spent elsewhere? I'll admit to not knowing gladius or the 7th SM book too well, but it seems like a lone Tech might not get much done.

Otherwise, it's a strong list.

Tech marine is a mandatory choice for the tank formation.

Yes at 1,500 you expect gaps. However the main psychic power houses are death stars and against them I'm going for everything except the star and using ObSec to win on VPs.

Yes the Ta'unar is not something I would attempt to kill. Kill everything else feed him 5 man marine squads until the game ends. Win on VPs.
