Hello!!!

Like it says in the title, I'm a newbie in miniatures (and wargames in general, only played D&D), and I'm thinking about starting painting and playing Warhammer 40K with my friends...

I have a thing for Eldar (and Dark Eldar, on my the darker side) , and that's the army I'm planning on playing... I think I'm going for my own craftworld color palette, but would like some opinions...

I'm thinking dark red (blood red, maybe) for the "body" or armor, and midnight blue for the helmet, and maybe bright sky blue for the crystals... How would that fit with the Aspect Warriors traditional colors, for example with Warp Spiders, Striking Scorpions and Dark Reapers?

Thanks!!!!!

I played eldar about 10 years ago so my advice may be terrible, but I painted the aspect warriors different than my craft world. As an example, my jetbikes, guardians, and wraithguard were Iyyanden blue and yellow but my striking scorpions were tan/brown and my howling banshees were red. I like the idea of the aspect warriors honoring their aspect rather than wearing common colors. I thought it fits the fluff better since I see eldar as an arrogant race with strong class division. Ultimately though, it is up to you. I would say paint them the way you imagine they would look on a battlefield. When the craft world gathers their strength, what will show on their blood stained armour?

By the way, the effect on Mymeara, going from aqua to green, how can you do it with brushes?

And as a preview...

To much?

I know DakkaDakka has a painter for trying out colour schemes. You know if there are more online? I googled but can't find any...
